What Parents Say
O'Brien Child Development Center receives mostly positive feedback, with parents praising the caring staff and child-focused approach. However, one recent review indicates significant concerns about staff changes, with reports of inadequate nap time, hygiene issues, and multiple families withdrawing their children.
This daycare has always been 5 stars for me until some upsetting things changed with the staff. I would only recommend this daycare if Heather was still the director as she has cared for my kids 6+ years but now I have pulled my youngest out due to the change of staffing, my son coming home exhausted from not being napped, dirty underwear due to not helping with regular hygiene that a toddler needs help with. All of his friends were pulled out by the parents as well. I’m really disappointed in what’s happened within this daycare program and do not recommend it as of now.
I've been taking my daughter here for a few months now. She really enjoys the teachers, and has even made a few friends. The head teacher is more than willing to keep me up to date on how my daughter is doing if when I her off she wants to stay with me, and gets upset because I need to go. To me that's really important, because I do like the reassurance that she's doing okay. She has also reassured me that if she is just not doing well because she misses me too much, she would actually me know if I to pick her up. Related to this subject, they do an excellent job in redirecting, and caring for them like they're their own. A couple of times I had to get my daughter in and hand her over, and the head teacher just comes and holds her in a way that makes me think my daughter feels safe, and is going to be okay, if that makes sense. When covid happened the school, doubled down on cleaning and hand washing, ( in all honesty my daughter takes longer than me to wash hands, I've watched her she is very thorough, for a three year old.) They started wearing masks to greet the pants, and have a sanitizing station outside to make sure everyone can get their hands clean before entering then after coming out. At this place you need to make your kids lunch, but I don't have a problem with that because then I know exactly what my child has available to her. I'm sure there's some trading going on but I know what I gave her.
This place is great! The ladies are all lovely and kind. Heather is very responsive and made our lives so much easier while our son was going there. They have lots of activities indoors and outdoors.
I started taking my son here in August of 2020 and absolutely love it here. Mostly because all the woman that work here are so kind. I feel comfortable leaving my little man here all day M-F. I am having another child in August and she will be attending here as well. I recommend O'Brien Child Development.
Hi again thank you for everything and your love
