This is a great preschool. It's a little hidden gem. Very secure. The director Sister Carol is a wonderful person. Very intune with each family's needs. The staff have gone above and beyond in assisting our family in moments of difficulty. The teachers are great too . You can tell they really love the kids. The curriculum is play based so the kids learn mostly by doing and exploring rather than sitting and listening, which is ideal for toddlers.

Notre Dame Preschool has been a wonderful experience for our family. My oldest daughter attended there and is now in 3rd grade—she was incredibly well prepared, thanks to the strong foundation she received. The teachers truly care about the children and create such a nurturing environment. Now our little one, who is 3 years old, is attending, and we’ve had another great experience. The staff has been so supportive and helpful with potty training, which made the transition much easier for both our child and us. We’re so grateful for the patience, kindness, and dedication of the teachers and sisters. Highly recommend this school to any family looking for a caring and supportive early learning environment!

Choosing a preschool for your child is such an important decision, and we feel incredibly grateful that all four of our children began their journey at Notre Dame Preschool in Thousand Oaks. Each of our kids has a completely different personality, and somehow the teachers met each one exactly where they were. They created a space where our children felt safe, loved, understood, and excited to go to school every day. As a parent, there is nothing more comforting than knowing your child is being cared for by people who are truly nurturing and genuinely love what they do. The environment is beautiful in its simplicity—play-based learning, lots of creativity and interaction with nature. The children spend time exploring, playing, and discovering the world around them in a way that feels natural and joyful. It’s the kind of childhood experience every parent hopes their kids will have. What makes this preschool truly special is the heart behind it. The teachers are patient, kind, and deeply dedicated to the children. The love and care they pour into the kids every single day is something you can truly feel. Notre Dame Preschool gave our children a magical start to their school years, and those early memories will always be very special to our family. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.
