This church claims to help you when you're in need but not before making you feel little, guilty for needing help and will grill you about being religious but don't hold to the standards of love your neighbor. I have PTSD from a AS I suffered in a church when I was a child and their new pastor made me feel like he was a crooked salesman trying to guilt me into joining their cult. I am not religious but I am spiritual despite my abuse in a church but this person has caused me great mental agony and stress. I will NEVER suggest ANYONE go to this church for help. Please be careful of your children.
I went there In the mid 60's for first grade. My parents were big followers of this church in the 80's. This place is a GOOD CHURCH to take the family to praise God and Jesus.
We have been at Northside for over 5 years now. The leadership is committed to accurately and faithfully preaching God’s word without apology. There are lots of young families and mature folk too. While the people aren’t perfect, because no people are perfect, there’s a genuine desire to grow together in our understanding of who God is and how we can honor Him in our everyday lives.
Not once in the many years that I attended this church did I ever feel welcomed. I was involved in Sunday school, extended care, camps, activities, choir, seasonal festivals, and vacation bible school each year and I was still outcast from everyone. This is the biggest clique of a church and y’all certainly don’t act Christian. There is nothing but back stabbing, gossiping, and stuck up attendees and leaders at NBC. I’ll keep y’all in my prayers.
