What Parents Say
Northridge Academy receives highly polarized reviews. Most parents praise the clean facility, caring staff, strong educational curriculum (including PE, music, STEM, Spanish), and individualized attention to children. However, two parents reported serious concerns including teacher favoritism, poor treatment of children, mishandled injury incidents, and questioned whether the high price justified the services.
My daughter was enrolled at Northridge Academy during a period when she was in preschool. The teachers who had their favorites, treated my daughter poorly. When telling me how her day went I was horrified how they treated her. She would be talked down to and forced to do something she didn't want to do. One of the teachers blamed another child on an injury but it came out later that the teacher had injured my daughter. I had noticed favoritism going on from the owner to certain teachers; as well as, among the teachers and children. The environment is toxic as a whole. Parents, find another child care to take you children to. They deserve the absolute best and Northridge is not it.
I highly recommend Northridge Academy to all my friends! I have worked here and now my daughter goes to daycare here. This daycare is clean, has excellent teachers who care about every child, learning curriculum is top-notch and the facility is very well maintained by the owner.
Such an amazing place. We moved our daughter to NorthRidge from Primrose and couldn't be happier. The level of education is clearly a level above and the teachers truly care about each child's individual well being. We have the same teacher every day and my daughter gets PE, Music, STEM, Spanish every day! We have been so impressed by everyone there!
Absolutely best daycare I have ever seen! The staff love the children. We walk in with my two year old, and even the staff working in the kitchen greet him by name. They call with a bump on the head as a courtesy. They say prayers before they eat, Muffins with Mom, Donuts with Dad, art craft daily... work on potty training. I feel like my son is so loved. They have a curriculum. My two year old knows his right and left. He is miles ahead of his friends. I am SO pleased with this center.
If you want a safe place for your child to play during, before, or after the school day - great. You've found it. My wife and I didn't feel, however, that North Ridge provided enough besides that to justify the price. We switched to Primrose West, at a comparable price, and my only regret is that we couldn't have done so sooner. I strongly, strongly encourage other parents to consider Primrose and other options.
