What Parents Say
North Haven Child Development Center receives mostly positive feedback, with parents praising the caring staff, owner Lauren's involvement, educational curriculum, and communication app. However, two negative reviews raise serious concerns about negligent care practices, including failing to feed an infant twice and lack of supervision during outings.
I cannot speak highly enough about North Haven Child Development center! Lauren (owner) and her amazing staff put so much much love into everything they do! All the teachers provide a safe, fun, loving environment for children to engage, learn and develop. The App that the center uses provides pictures and updates about your child’s day. The teachers are constantly changing activities and themes around the rooms based on the time of year! The center itself is very clean and we are very thankful to Lauren and her whole team at NHCD Center!
It is very hard to find a place that you trust, feel comfortable, and know your child is safe. After bouncing around from daycare to daycare, I found NHCD and instantly knew this is the place I want my son to go to. The staff is wonderful and I like that it is not a revolving door. My son attended for two years and throughout that time it had been the same teachers. The owner Lauren is involved in the day to day and very responsive to any questions or concerns. My son just started kindergarten this year and what prompted this review is a recent parent teacher conference I attended. The teacher was impressed on how prepared he was for kindergarten, his knowledge of the basics, and overall a great adjustment to the school life. I was proud to hear that and the credit has to go to NHCD. They have done an amazing job and I am forever grateful. Thank you!
NHCD Center is great. Lauren, the owner, is easy to talk to and responsive to my (fairly frequent) calls and messages. As a first time mom, naturally, I was uneasy about sending my daughter off to daycare at 16 weeks. The model at NHCD Center though, allows for a smooth transition. The extended time I spent at the center allowed me to see first hand exactly who would be caring for my daughter and how they would be doing it. Watching the teachers interact with my daughter put me at ease. I knew right away that she would be well taken care of. My husband has always done drop off and he reports that our daughter is always thrilled upon arrival at daycare. Since I’m on pickup duty, I can say that she’s still smiling when I come to get her. And her smile keep us all smiling. We love NHCD Center!
Four teachers from this center takes toddlers to the library. They stay in the library from 30 minutes to 90 minutes. In those 90 minutes, the teachers don't take off the children's coats or hat . So children are wearing winter coats and hats and sometimes gloves in a 70 degree room. I am shock these teachers are not embarrassed by their own behavior. They had enough thoughts to take off their own coats but not the toddlers. The teacher doesn't interact much with the children except reading one book and then play on their cellphone. If you have a child or baby in this daycare, I would do more surprised drop in because if they are doing these things in public, I don't know what they are doing in their own center.
my daughter attends daycare here and absolutely loves it! the teachers are amazing. she has grown so much and due to the constant interaction she has learned so much! updates/pictures are always sent to me via app where I get to know everything she’s doing during the day! I’m so excited to see how much more she’s going to grow from being here! definitely recommend if you’re looking for somewhere reliable and with great teachers!
