My son has attended this daycare since he was in the infant room, and I have always felt confident knowing he was in a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment. He is now in the VPK program, and the growth we’ve seen in him over the years has been amazing. He has learned so much and has created close friendships with the other children. The staff is caring, attentive, and truly invested in the children’s development. We are very happy and grateful!
My son has been going to this daycare since he was 2 years old. Never had any problems with teachers or staff. My son is about to turn 5 and the day care has prepared him for the next level. I would refer this day care to any parent they want their child to be well taken care of.
Nob Hill Academy in Pines is such a wonderful school. The atmosphere is bright, welcoming, and filled with beautiful artwork that makes it an inviting place for kids to learn. The teachers are caring, patient, and truly dedicated — you can see how much they love what they do. What really stands out is how seriously they take academics. My daughter is in Pre-K and already starting to read, which is incredible at her age. She looks forward to going every single day, and as a parent, that gives me so much peace of mind. We’ve had an amazing experience and are so grateful to be part of this school community.
I had a couple of situations that did not make me very happy. I can't say it's a terrible place cuz they are very nice but i noticed that the interaction with parents and teachers are non-existent. My son passed through a couple teachers and honestly I never knew their names I only liked one of them which is an older lady that would always greet my son so kindly but unfortunately they transferred him and she wasn't his teacher anymore which made me very sad especially because no one even communicated to me that he was changing classrooms. That's one of the things that upset me because there was very little communication with the parents when it comes to transferring the student to a different teacher. The most that they were good at was to make sure that we paid on time which seems a little greedy also because if you are 10 minutes late picking up your kid they're very greedy to charge you which has a business I understand but as a mom you also have to understand the only reason we were late is because we wanted our son to eat his lunch. The pickup time for part-time is terrible because it's at 3:00 p.m. and it's right when they're eating their snack so a teacher told me to just come a little bit later so he can have his snack which what is what I was doing so he can eat his snack but someone from Administration called me very rudely saying that they were going to charge me a late fee. I got very upset with the tone of this person and took my son out of the school. I also didn't like that I was obligated to give a two weeks notice to take him off the school which I feel like is ridiculous since one I pay for the daycare too he's my son I should be able to take him off if I'm not happy. I also feel like there's too many kids in this school which makes it so hard for the teachers to actually get to know the kiddos and makes it very hard so the teachers don't even know who the parents are. Just seems very disorganized and as a parent I appreciate when the teacher knows who I am and knows my name and tells me how my kid was during the day. The pickup is basically here's your kid bye there's no communication no one tells me how his day was it's just so cold. The director did call me and did Apologize which was nice she heard what I had to say and she was polite about it she wasn't rude at any way but it's hard for a parent to trust a daycare when we have so many flaws. The daycare is supposed to be the kiddos second home away from home and if the parents feels like the school is a little distant imagine the child. I'm not giving zero stars because I know that they have good intention but I'm not giving five stars because I feel like they need to communicate better with the parents let them know when the child is changing classrooms the teachers should talk to the parents and not just give them away like here is your child go home. I wasn't really going to write a review but I feel like it's important to get those feedback.
We are so grateful for Nob Hill Academy Pines. My oldest graduated from here and is now in the 4th grade, excelling in elementary school. My youngest is currently in the VPK program, and we've seen the same positive results. The teachers are nurturing, kind, and dedicated. Both of our children have been in their care since they were infants. The academic difference is noticeable; we consistently receive comments from others about how advanced our kids are. If you're on the fence, I encourage you to take a leap of faith. Our two children are living proof that this school was the right choice.
