My daughter has attended Noah’s Little Ark Daycare for a total of 6 days. She has mild autism. Aside from her speech delay, flapping of hands and preference to certain toys, she is just like any other neurotypical child. My husband and I spent a considerable amount of time searching for a daycare that has experience and accepts autistic children. Upon calling and visiting Noah’s Little Ark, Ms. Julia made it seem like they understood adjustments, etc. She said they have had children with autism before and this is no big deal. They said she would be in the sun room with other toddlers and even the PM teacher, Ms. Anna, said she had been working with children for 10+ years and she had “seen it all”. I made sure several times to explain her autism and her speech delay and every single person I spoke to at Noah’s told me that they were okay with it and that they knew how to work with children with autism. This was even in her paperwork and was in big bold lettering at the bottom. On the first day, my daughters FIRST DAY OF DAYCARE EVER, she cried. Mrs. Barbie rudely approached my husband and I when we arrived to pick her up and stated “I was going to tell you she can’t come back.” I then asked her if she knew my daughter had autism because it was in her paperwork and as the director and owner she should know. She replied “I had a feeling.” No ma’am. It is your job as a daycare owner and director to familiarize yourself with all the students allergies, needs, special circumstances, etc. She then told us that our daughter would have to be moved to the baby room because it was a better environment for her and proceeded to charge us an extra $20 a week. My husband and I felt we had no choice. (According to the ADA, children with disabilities should be placed in their age appropriate rooms) She went to the infant room and the workers in the evening told us she was improving, and there were NO behavior concerns on my daughters slip sent home each day, as well as no correspondence with anyone stating otherwise when picking her up at the end of the day. Out of the blue, my husband and I get a call on her 6th day there, not even a full week, that we need to come pick her up and shes crying, she’s not adjusting. Which is interesting because according to the ADA you also cannot remove a child with disabilities from a daycare setting unless there is a threat to the safety of the other students and staff. Is my daughter crying annoying? I’m sure, yes. Is it directly affecting everyone’s safety? No. It’s completely common for even neurotypical toddlers to cry and adjust to daycare. At the end of the day I know Mrs. Barbie only cared about money and not my daughter. I feel my husband, daughter and I are owed an apology. Mrs Barbie, If you would have been honest and told us you are not equipped to handle special needs children, or simply did not have the patience, we could have avoided this entire experience and my daughter could have been placed in a another center with people who are more understanding and equipped. I truly hope that people take into consideration what happened to our family before sending your child here. I feel as though this daycare has not made any actual effort to work with my husband and I to provide care with consideration to her autism, other than to take our money, and are bullying her out of their center because they simply do not want to deal with her.

I love Noah's Little Ark! The teachers are all so wonderful (EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM❤️) and my kids love it here! My children can be themselves! I also see the unconditional love the teachers provide every child and I am truly thankful that I found them and that my children have a daycare they can grow with. I knew by the first call and tour this was the daycare for me. ❤️

I’m reviewing this place 1 star cause of the little things I noticed when looking at this place for my son to attend. Let me start off with the front door not being locked or even secured when I first walked in. I was just able to swing the door open I didn’t even have to turn the knob. This was my first red flag especially with all the crazy things going on in the world I don’t see why a CHILDRENS facility would not secure their doors. The “front desk” lady was very rude and spoke to me as if I didn’t know what I was doing. I’m assuming it’s because I’m a young mom. The woman I was talking to allowed my son to go in the classroom he would be assigned to and him being a child of course he ran to the toys and and as soon as he started touching things she stated “ok he has to get out now” #1 its been less than a minute that my son was in the classroom #2 her tone was very rude as if she was irritated #3 he is a child what did you expect?? I have a close friend who used to work here and I have seen messages of how the owner of this place speaks to and treats her employees. I would not recommend this daycare to anyone. My son did not attend this daycare based upon my interactions with the employee there and my observations that any parent would be looking for. After hearing how the owner is and experiencing things first hand I am very happy my instincts told me this place was no good for my child.

I love this daycare. My step son went as a young child. My 5yr old has been going since a baby, and my 1yr old as well. Everyone is nice, and I've never had any issues...aside from my kids falling bc they are kids being kids. I love that they are nice, but yet discipline. I don't like my kids being spoiled and getting away with stuff while I'm not around, and I like how they discipline with care. We have a few family members that attend this daycare, as well. Close to home is a big plus!!! My 5yr old loves his teachers. They are informative with what's going around in the daycare, but of course you as a parent need to be pro-active with the updates around the daycare, as well.

I stopped by to get information about enrolling my afterschooler, thinking I could get pricing & the info packet that most daycares will give you without hesitation. What I was met with was a rude staff member that talked to me as if I was ignorant & a bother. When she told me there was a fee for the enrollment packet, I asked a few questions more & it was really putting her out to have to deal with me. We are in a pandemic, so I tried my best to not be rude back or agressive but in hindsight I had my mask on & I waited on the porch as instructed to by the signs that are on the front door& I had never heard of a daycare charging before they would even give you any information. I assumed daycares would want more business instead of running it off. When i told them ok I guess I will pay for the packet, they told me it had to be cash or a money order. Again, something I had never heard from a daycare. I never got to ask questions abt NCI or anything. When I called yesterday morning, the young lady that answered sounded friendly & made no mention of the cost of enrollment info. If this is any indication of how this place is run & the attitude the staff has, I do believe I will just keep looking for other arrangements for my afterschooler.
