What Parents Say
Noah's Ark Country Day School receives mostly positive feedback for caring staff, low turnover, comprehensive curriculum, and strong developmental outcomes for toddlers and preschoolers. However, one parent reported serious concerns about infant care, including inadequate supervision, limited toy access, and health issues that developed during enrollment.
We had a wonderful experience here. Teachers are so caring of kids and their families. I was impressed by the low turnover of staff and their dedication to making sure the kids had a good experience.
This daycare center is amazing! I had the best experience ever and I really wish my daughter could stay there longer. The whole staff is so attentive, caring and responsible. My daughter has some food allergies and they were always on top of their game with this issue. They provide a thriving environment for toddlers and preschoolers with so many creative activities and their weekly curriculum. Also, their summer camp programs are amazing with so many activities and safe supervised outside play. They really make safety a priority. I wish I could give them 100 stars.
My husband and I think Noah's Ark Country Day School is an excellent program! The school not only provides children the exposure to develop the social and behavioral skill they will need in Kindergarten, they learn all traditional academics(letters, numbers, shapes, colors, etc.), fine motor skills, cognitive skills, gross motor skills, as well as healthy eating and exercise. I have a 1 year old and 3 year old who both began attending Noah's Ark when they were infants. My husband and I truly appreciate how loving, compassionate and genuine the teachers are. They care for our children as if they are their own; they put so much effort into their social and behavioral development and it shows. My 3 year old began counting upto 17 at nineteen months old. My 1 year old who typically only wants me to hold him, gladly goes to the his teachers in the morning. Both of my children have learned many social skills like sharing, waiting their turn, and manners. My 3 year old already recognizes/reads all of her letter and numbers and has begun writing her first name.
I had my infant enrolled here and not soon after she started, I noticed things were not as the director made it seem. They consistently do not meet ratios at drop off and pick up. Infants are strapped into bouncy seats and high chairs for extended periods of time with no stimulation. I asked where their toys were and they told me they were in a basket and only brought out once per day for one hour, then sterilized and put away, per the owners request. I asked what happened if my daughter was asleep for the one hour and was told that she would not have the opportunity to use toys that day. My daughter developed plagiocephaly (Flatness on the back of her head) from being left in a seat for extended lengths of time. She also developed a fungal rash after I repeatedly asked them to use her diaper cream and they forgot. They say that the afternoon teacher puts infants in their car seats when they see your car pull up, but it is virtually impossible to have an infant's jacket and hat on and have them put in their car seats in the 30 seconds it takes to pull up and sign into the center, even if the teacher is staring out the window waiting for parents to pull up, which I would prefer her not to do. On countless days I would pick my daughter up and find her sleeping in her car seat with her jacket on. I would show up unannounced at all different times and it would be the same. I do not believe this daycare operates in the best interest of infants. The owner is not involved on a daily basis and although we attempted to give feedback, she refused to speak with us and said we were not the right fit for her center. A center in which she seems not to be involved where her director, who is only there from 10-6 and not managing the morning hours has admitted to faults. While I feel the staff tried the best they could, they did not seem happy at all and did not seem like they love their jobs. My older daughter had experience at three different daycares, (due to moving around) and never did we experience an environment for children that did not care to stimulate infants and follow simple instructions as this center. Think twice before placing your infant here.
The director responds quickly to any questions or concerns you have. The teachers have been loving and caring and our child has enjoyed going everyday.
