My students and I have been volunteering at the Nicholas House for three years. We love working with Bria Everett. It’s very apparent that she is committed and truly cares about the residents at the Nicholas House and my students at Brandon Hall. I look forward to many more years of service at the Nicolr’s house with Bria and Ms. Janice! Thank you for always making us feel welcome and letting us be a part of the Nicholas house community. Nicholas House helped me to be back on my feet after I lost my government job and I was homeless. I went back into teaching because of the Nicholas House programs. They found me a place to stay and my grandson and I were stable again. Today I am back teaching and I bought my own house, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with full basement and almost 2 acres of land. Thank you very much donors and volunteers at Nicholas House. God bless you.
Support #nicholashouseofatlanta #sleepout4homelessfamilies #nicholashouse @nicholashouse The age of the MOST homeless population is.........9 years old! thats right the homeless population consist mostly of children!
Called and tried to talk to them but was rude considering I'm clearly already going through a tough time. Where is the compassion?
Today is Dec 16 2025.. we are still displaced due to being thrown out of this shelter for my disabilities they said being to great.... and PADS did nothing past 7 days in a hotel when they offer 2 years of service yet when I call them never a call back. Now I can't afford my phone bill and food is tight Myself and five children are currently here at the Nicholas House when I first got here on September 16, 2024. I was greeted by a lady named Miss Lewis the very first day I was here. She was rude, aggressive disrespectful to the point of me sitting on the porch doing what they asked me to do to get out one pair For each person and she came out and being aggressive saying that looks like too much stuff moving forward I have been displaced for a year and a half now with my children given them all the information that they requested and given them to Housing they add something else to the list, maybe disabled and them having documentation and I need a living aid telling them that I’ve been very sick in here so I haven’t been able to take care of my personal hygiene or even my room area is great as I normally could if I was healthy due to the stress in this place Due to me having to use a microwave all day when I am recovering from breast cancer this organization lies and say that they help with housing they do not. They only feed us once a day and that’s dinner. We have to write out a paper request for tissue when we do request they never answered. They had a signed documentation to say that they were open to suggestions to making it better and because I talked too much they are aggravated , I don’t see how people can have this a nonprofit organization part of their mission statement is that they are ending homelessness in Atlanta by addressing the underlining calls of families issues that has not been done at all. It’s nowhere on site on their site. that is a 60 day program but as soon as you get in here off the street they make you sign paper to say , it’s a 60 day program bullied you’re down you’re belittled in a time where you need someone to help bridge to get is there someone reading this they can help please I’m begging you to see this come here stop this madness I have so many recordings of how these people behave
