New Territory Montessori School

We like this Montessori school. We toured 4 other Montessori schools before deciding on this one. At NTMS, the school offers camera access to see our babies while they are there, some meals are included in tuition and the student to teacher ratio is low so the girls receive extra attention. The staff is super sweet and our girls enjoy their teachers! I would recommend this school.

My daughter joint New Territory Montessori School right after she completed 2 years old. We were a little worried that she could not develop/learn as we moved from a country where English is not the primary language. In a few weeks we already noticed some changes, like requesting to wash her hands before meals and returned the dishes after. Also, she already learned some English words and she enjoy going to school everyday. I highly recommend this school, the entire staff is friendly and patient with the kids.

Leadership and staffing has changed at the school since the former director left about a year ago. There’s been a lot of turnover since then. The school is still good, but it’s no longer what what it used to be, although the new director seems promising. Overall, curriculum is good and rules are followed. The school is clean and well-taken care of. Primary teachers are disciplined and don’t put up with kids who don’t follow the rules. I wish that there was a greater focus on nutrition. A lot of menu selections are not nutrient dense. Lots of empty carbs. Of note, the infant room has a teacher that’s been there for over 20 years! Know that your babies will be in good hands.

This school is wonderful. Great leadership! Teachers are educated and trained appropriately. They CARE about the kids! The school is clean, safe and the meals offered are organic and healthy. My son loves this school and he is excited when I drop him off each day.

When my 4-year-old started preschool, I was very particular in choosing schools, as are most parents. I was very satisfied with NTMS! Everyone from Mrs. Ericka to Ms. Breanna to each of his teachers worked together to help him transition into preschool life, a healthy social learning environment, and a place to feel accepted, welcome, and safe. The staff has a balanced approach to scheduling the day's activities, nap times, meal times, and learning, while still allowing for ample free play/learning time throughout the day. They have great security and safety measures throughout the entire school that give peace of mind to me. Throughout the year, they also have lots of holiday and Summer activities, which he enjoyed. They provide special parent days. They have an online site and mobile app where they share photos of the kids having fun and learning, and can keep the parents posted on events and schedules. The entire staff is also very caring and compassionate, and, within a short time, my son felt a special bond with the directors and teachers. The school has reasonable hours for parents who have to work early and late as well. I highly recommend them, and I was very happy to have my son start out preschool there!
