First Colony Montessori South

Our family couldn't be happier with our experience at First Colony Montessori South. My daughter, Maryam, started here when she was only 2 years old, and the transformation we have seen in her over the last year has been incredible. Now, at 3 years old, she is thriving, confident, and excited to go to school every single day. A huge, heartfelt thank you to her amazing teachers, Ms. Judy and Ms. Mia. They provide such a warm, nurturing, and structured environment where Maryam feels truly loved and supported. Their patience and dedication to the Montessori philosophy are evident in everything my daughter learns. I also want to highly commend the administration, especially the Director, Ms. Laura. The school is incredibly well-run, and the entire staff—from the reception to the kitchen—is professional, kind, and always welcoming. It gives us such peace of mind knowing Maryam is in such capable and caring hands.

My wife and I barely had any leave from work after welcome our baby girl into the world. She was 5 weeks when she started and we were worried because she was so new to this world. But we’ve been so Happy with care. My Irene takes such great care of her and seems to love what she does. First Colony Montessori was recommended to us and we recommend to anyone looking.

My one year old absolutely loves First Colony Montessori South and Ms. Irene! He has been in the infant class since he was just 3 months old, and knowing what amazing care he was in every day gave me comfort as I returned to work. The teachers treat each child like the individual they are, always demonstrating patience and kindness. He has learned so much in his first year, and has developed valuable social skills through playing and learning with his classmates. Ms. Irene truly loves these babies, and they love her right back! I cannot recommend First Colony Montessori South and the entire staff enough! Everyone here has a gift and you can tell they truly enjoy working with and shaping these children. Laura runs an incredible school and is highly communicative—we love this little community!

I can not say enough good things about FCMS. My son has been attending the school for the last 16 months and the experience has been beyond excellent. To begin with, the administrative staff are extremely knowledgeable, approachable, and supportive. They helped me feel comfortable in the beginning after having had a bad experience with a previous daycare. And since then have become true allies in my day to day life. My son requires daily therapies, and they have been incredibly helpful to make it all work together. My son’s teachers, Ms Mia and Ms Judy are nothing short of angels. They are immensely kind, loving and increasing patient with all their students. The way they bring peace to the whole group of kids is not something that can be learned, its is a gift. My son has flourished so much during his time here. When he started he was just beginning to speak and only did so in Spanish. Nos he is completely fluent in both languages and has an above average vocabulary. He has developed greatly in his emotional intelligence and maturity and his social skills have soared above what I thought possible. This daycare will be greatly missed when we move along, and it is definitely 100% recommend.

Excellent Daycare With Amazing Teachers! Our 20-month-old has been attending this daycare since he was an infant, and our experience has been nothing short of wonderful. The teachers are all professional, kind, and incredibly attentive—they truly treat the children like their own. My son LOVES going to daycare each day to play and learn with his friends. We’ve watched him grow and learn so much with his classmates, and it’s clear the staff puts real care into creating a positive, engaging environment. The leadership is fantastic, the communication is great, and I always feel confident he’s in good hands. Highly recommend—amazing staff, amazing teachers, and a place where kids genuinely thrive!
