New Horizon Academy

This school has been a wonderful addition to our family. My daughter is learning so much, and I’m confident her skills will transfer well when she begins kindergarten. My son is truly loved and well cared for by his teachers in the infant room, and I have full confidence that he will continue to thrive as he moves through the entire program at NHA Minnetonka. Every teacher we’ve encountered has been wonderful, and the center has such a welcoming, family-like atmosphere. I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone looking for high-quality care and education.

I had a son attend NHA for 3 years and a daughter who is just finishing up 5 years at NHA. I can certainly recommend enrolling your kids at NHA. Prior to our time at NHA, we had our son at a Primrose location, and the results of that were very mixed. At Primrose, it was mostly good, but there was some notable bad. That was not the case at all with NHA, as it has all been good, and the difference starts with their mindful leadership (currently Jennifer and Claire). They make sure the teachers are in a position to succeed, and in turn, the children can succeed. You can tell that the teachers care for the children and are invested in their success. Our kids made great friends while at NHA, they made memories that they still talk about, and they learned the social skills to prepare them for kindergarten. I'm happy that we had this great facility in our neighborhood, and I would encourage you to check it out. Thanks NHA!

This location has a warm, family style feeling to the whole center. My child has grown exponentially under the care and teaching of the staff here. I have full confidence in her ability to attend Kindergarten fully prepared in the future. Management is very helpful, friendly and communicate within a timely manner.

I am editing my review a year later to say that we have loved New Horizon Academy so much over the past 2.5 years! We unfortunately are moving and will be no longer able to attend. We can not thank all of the wonderful staff enough for all of their hard work, their dedication to the children and families and for loving our child like their own! We will miss New Horizon Academy Minnetonka immensely!! We love New Horizon Academy Minnetonka! The center is both clean and inviting and the staff is amazing. I love to see our son (as well as the other children in his classroom) visibly having fun and happy when I drop him off and pick him up at the end of the day. I feel so comfortable having him in the care of the wonderful staff here-especially Maggie and Jennifer and his amazing teachers Ms. Beth, Ms. Rachel and Ms. Taylor. I can not recommend this center enough to other families.

New Horizons Academy Minnetonka was an incredible pace for my children! As first time foster parents. and parents in general, my wife and I were concerned about the process of enrolling our kids in a daycare and that they would be somewhere that would address their specific individual needs. From the first meeting we had with the director we knew this would be a great fit! She made us feel comfortable and was willing to sit (for a long time) and answer all of our questions to make sure we felt comfortable. When our kids started it was clear that the teachers were committed to working with them where they were academically and socially and to finding ways to connect with them. As successes or concerns came up we were able to wrap around the kids as a team of parents and caregivers to celebrate or find new ways of addressing needs. As foster parents between social workers and transportation to visits we were never made to feel like a burden, but rather cherished members of the community. I would highly recommend New Horizons to all families!
