New Horizon Academy

We have been sending our daughter to the Normandale New Horizon for the past several months and have loved it! We have commented to each other on multiple occasions how we feel like we chose a great daycare and feel lucky to have found it. It is a smaller daycare which we love because our daughter gets a lot of personal attention. The teachers give us recaps at the end of the day and genuinely seem invested in our daughter's learning and interests. The daycare has a very cozy and warm feel, which attracted us right away when we were looking at different places. The director and assistant director are very present and approachable. Parking is covered so drop-off is great even on snowy or rainy days. Overall, we are very pleased and would recommend this location to any new parents!

We have loved this location since 2014! The staff has always been so caring and treated our children with love and affection. The kids develop such a close bond, too, and really wish each other well, even after graduation. It's so fun to see recent 'graduates' when they come in to pick up a younger sibling. :) The teachers are so patient and have taught me as a parent, too, with all of the techniques they learn through their continued education. I really enjoy reading up on the techniques and collaborating with the teachers to be consistent at home and at school. My littlest guy has had unknown allergies (sometimes severe!) and the staff has been amazing at handling everything in a calm, caring and supportive way. They are so understanding of the concerns we have as parents and are quick to reply when we have an inquiry or question. I love that the center is clear about their policies, when they are open (no snow days!), and communicates any issues directly as they come up. Whenever anyone asks for a daycare/preschool recommendation, I always mention this location of NHA!

Our daughter has been enrolled for 7 months now and we love it! We can tell the teachers truly love their jobs. Our daughter always comes home with new words and we are always impressed by the curriculum, even for the babies and toddlers. I love there there is also an option for Spanish and music class weekly. The center is also in a beautiful area with a shaded play area outside. It's nice because even on rainy days they can go for walks inside the business center. I feel we are best setting her up for success by attending here and are planning on bringing our next baby here as well.

Our son went here 8 months and we loved it. We recently moved so we unfortunately had to find a new daycare center and it was very hard leaving a place that truly felt like they wanted the best for your child. Our child is very clingy and doesn't like leaving the side of me or my wife, but he loved New Horizon. Whenever he would pick him up, he was always happily playing without a care in the world. New Horizon also did a great job of providing updates throughout the day. I would highly recommend New Horizon Academy, especially for infants.

We absolutely loved our experience at this center and were devastated when we moved away! This was the first of many tours we went on with our first child, and always felt the most safe and friendly. The teachers are so happy to be there, very communicative, and engaged with parents. We loved that the center is small because you get to know and trust everyone, and they know your whole family well. While it is doesn't have direct sunlight in rooms, they do have a playground. And when weather is not permitting to go outside, they are able to walk around the office center to get out of the classroom. Another small perk was the connection to the parking ramp and not needing to go directly outside with little ones. They offer extracurricular activities like Spanish or music classes, but the standard curriculum is very well done. Our favorite element was only bringing milk/formula and they prepped and cleaned all the bottles for us - Huge time saver for our family!!
