I am giving one star only because honestly i am extremely dissapointed in the water fountain situation. The water fountain in the gym room when you first come in the building doesnt work. If you go down the hallway near the vending machines those ones dont work either. You have to go all the way downstairs near the steps to the water bottle refiller and the water that comes out is WARM! This is a gym where people are doing a variety of intense excersises such as running, lifting, etc. We need better acessibilty to water. Im newer to the gym so i had to ask an employee where it was and honestly i am just shocked that WATER doesnt seem like it is a priority here and honestly i feel like this is a hazard and i fear someone could get hurt from this. Im begging you PLEASE upgrade the water fountains! Or at least upgrade the one in the gym room to a water bottle refiller and fix the pressure on the ones in the hallway! On a positive note the child drop off is great. The girls who work it are really nice and my toddler loves it there!
I’ve never had problems with any other YMCA. After canceling my membership I continued to be charged and had to lock my card. I called I filled out papers. No one seems to know what to do at the desk. Hire ppl that actually do their job please! The free weight area has dangerously malfunctioning equipment. The equipment is so out dated. On a good note the pool is nice! The swimming instructors are very nice as well. Thank you for your efforts.
I'm genuinely disappointed with how this YMCA chose to handle its holiday hours. The facility was open on June 19 (Juneteenth) - a federal holiday that honors the end of slavery in the United States - yet it was closed on July 4th, just two weeks later. It sends the wrong message about which holidays are valued and respected. Juneteenth is a day of deep historical and cultural significance, especially for the Black community. Choosing to remain open on that day, but then closing for Independence Day, comes across as out of touch and dismissive of progress. YMCA prides itself on being inclusive, community-oriented, and supportive of all backgrounds. This decision didn't reflect that. I hope leadership takes a serious look at how holiday hours reflect the values they claim to stand for. Please do better next year.
I'm new here from upstate New York and we had a brand new huge YMCA, as big as a mini mall and the people were exceptional. I did notice the man at desk seemed like he had attitude and not friendly. I plan on going for class and I hope I don't experience any rude unhappy people there. The YMCA should be positive, upbeat and happy. There was also a rude lady on the phone when I asked where you park.
I have had a lot of success with my losing weight here. I regularly use the treadmill and walk for about an hour. I caught a stomach virus bc I didn’t sanitize properly but overall I am feeling fine now.
