My daughter started here in the beginning of August and she is thriving. Ms. Carolyn and Ms.Whitney (there are more who have also been amazing, I'm not forgetting you ladies, but I see these two ladies the most!) have been awesome in taking care of my girl! I've noticed my daughter singing new songs at home (abc's is a favorite), she plays with her toys more instead of watching TV, she uses her imagination more when she plays, she cleans up after herself. She even learned new techniques to calm down when she's upset! Putting your child in someone else's care is hard but I'm so happy we chose New Beginnings!! I know my girl is being loved and cared for while I'm at work!

We went for a tour three weeks ago and were told they would have spots available when my son turned 4. Now, all of a sudden, they’re full. No one called or followed up with us at all. Very unprofessional and a serious lack of communication.

My daughter attends preschool here and I love it. They go above and beyond. I am so happy to see her graduate preschool here. I teared up for the graduation. Thank you new beginnings for giving me a memorable year there. Thank you to her teachers :)

Words can’t express the level of comfort and peace my husband and I felt while our daughter attended new beginnings. From 3 months old to 10 months old, we never once felt uneasy or doubtful whenever we would drop her off. We are beyond thankful for the infant room teachers - Ms. Kathy, Ms. Brittany, Ms. Angely, and everyone else who would go in there and help out. Our time in Jacksonville had come to an end and it was the hardest thing to leave them, we so badly wish we could have brought them with us to Orlando!! The love and care they showed our daughter daily was so evident and special. Ms. Gina, Ms. Jackie and all the front office staff were always so accommodating and made sure any special requests within reason were met. Everyday we were greeted with a smile and excitement. We miss them so much and would recommend them to anyone! Will definitely be keeping in touch as our daughter grows up!

I only gave one star because I can’t give zero. We enrolled our son at the Southwest location when he was 4 months old and literally had him there less than a month. At this time, my son was not able to roll over. At all. When my husband was walking into the building one day to pick our son up, his teacher, Ms. Rachel, was walking out and in passing my husband asked how my son had done that day and Ms. Rachel said he did great, he even took a nap on his tummy today. My husband thought he must have heard her wrong so he went inside and asked the teaching assistant who was in there watching the infants at that time and she clarified. My son was on his tummy on a boppy doing tummy time and he fell asleep. Ms. Rachel then allowed my son to stay asleep on his tummy on the boppy on the floor for an undetermined amount of time. The best guess, about 20-30 minutes, per the teaching assistant. My husband gathered up our son and his belongings and went out to the car to call me. We both, of course, are absolutely upset about this. So, my husband goes back into the building and is able to speak with the assistant director, Miss TT. During this discussion, she discloses to my husband that they’ve been having trouble in the infant room. That teachers were feeding the children too quickly without burping, thus explaining the large amounts of spit up that blanketed the cribs constantly. She also said that the teachers had been allowing the children to sleep with blankets in their cribs, even though this directly opposes every SIDS precaution. When my husband asked what was going to be done to correct this, she stated that she would speak with them “again”. Coincidentally, my son became ill almost immediately following this incident and was hospitalized for a week so he did not have to attend. We made the decision to pull him from this facility and at first they tried to make us give a more “advanced” notice but once we mentioned the issues again that were causing us to make this decision, the quickly agreed to not charge us for another week and allowed us to withdraw him effective immediately. We then started trying to get him into the facility over at Carolina Forest, as it is closer to where I work. This was in September. When we called, everyone was so nice to us and willing to put us on the wait list, that is until we told them our name. Since then, it’s been a complete runaround. I’ve addressed this issue with Amanda who I was told was the admin over all of the facilities. I’ve addressed that we feel like we’ve been blacklisted even though we did nothing wrong. She assured me that we weren’t and promised we were at the top of the list. Well, we haven’t received one call since then. Not a single one. I’ve called several times and always told, there’s no availability at the moment. I then called in December and was told that there were several children in the infant room that were turning one and would be transitioning to the one year olds room in December and January and that I would be called mid-January at the latest. Well, here we are and it is almost mid-February and wouldn’t you know, we haven’t heard one single thing. So now, I am making our experience public and will be filing a complaint with the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education, which honestly, I should have done in the first place. Parents, if your children are in these facilities or will be, please keep a close eye on your children and keep these people honest. We placed our son here because they were all incredibly friendly and a “Christian” facility but have quickly learned, the employees do not display Christian attitudes or values. I’m sure no one without the company will respond to this, as we are used to it. I just want other parents to keep a close eye on your littles and do not hesitate to randomly inspect the environment your little ones are in.
