What Parents Say
New Beginnings Child Care Center II has highly polarized reviews. Five parents gave 5-star ratings praising caring staff, child engagement, and communication through Class Dojo. Two parents gave 1-star ratings citing serious safety concerns in the infant room (unsafe sleep practices), poor communication, enrollment difficulties, and alleged blacklisting at their sister facility.
Don’t even bother…I’ve called since October 2025 for my son who was only a year old to find care for only a few months due to us relocating overseas. First time called gotten answer to call the next week. Called the next week, got an answer he can start mid- November. Great, right! Wrong! Called before mid Nov. gotten an answer that they are short staffed and cannot accept any new kids. Understandable. Told me to call January, I was told first on waitlist and they will call. Never got a call. So I called in January, told me that I am number 1 on waitlist or next in line the whole month of January…Had someone else call finally gotten a scheduled tour. Overpriced! Did the tour they gave me three different dates of when he can start which was Mid-February. The run around for 5 months…the inconsistency just rubbed me wrong about how this place runs.
I love this daycare so much! My 2-year-old son has been going here for about 6 months, and he is always so excited to go. My 4-month-old has been going since she was 6 weeks old, and she always greets the staff with a smile. They know every child by name and even what their parents drive, so when they see you pulling up they immediately go to get them. They all truly have a heart for kids, and I am so grateful for them! My kids’ classes are also on Class Dojo, so I frequently receive updates, pictures, etc about what is going on in class. It offers so much peace of mind knowing the staff offers so much compassion and attention to my kids.
My son was here for Pre-K, Ms.Lisa was his teacher and though my son is very difficult (ADHD) she handled things very well and assisted me in getting the help/meds he needed to be productive in class. He loved going to school and loved all of the staff. He was very happy here. He already talks about going back and misses it very much but he's now in Kindergarten, however his little brother will hopefully be seeing Ms.Lisa very shortly.
I only gave one star because I can’t give zero. We enrolled our son here when he was 4 months old and literally had him here less than a month. At this time, my son was not able to roll over. At all. When my husband was walking into the building one day to pick our son up, his teacher, Ms. Rachel, was walking out and in passing my husband asked how my son had done that day and Ms. Rachel said he did great, he even took a nap on his tummy today. My husband thought he must have heard her wrong so he went inside and asked the teaching assistant who was in there watching the infants at that time and she clarified. My son was on his tummy on a boppy doing tummy time and he fell asleep. Ms. Rachel then allowed my son to stay asleep on his tummy on the boppy on the floor for an undetermined amount of time. The best guess, about 20-30 minutes, per the teaching assistant. My husband gathered up our son and his belongings and went out to the car to call me. We both, of course, are absolutely upset about this. So, my husband goes back into the building and is able to speak with the assistant director, Miss TT. During this discussion, she discloses to my husband that they’ve been having trouble in the infant room. That teachers were feeding the children too quickly without burping, thus explaining the large amounts of spit up that blanketed the cribs constantly. She also said that the teachers had been allowing the children to sleep with blankets in their cribs, even though this directly opposes every SIDS precaution. When my husband asked what was going to be done to correct this, she stated that she would speak with them “again”. Coincidentally, my son became ill almost immediately following this incident and was hospitalized for a week so he did not have to attend. We made the decision to pull him from this facility and at first they tried to make us give a more “advanced” notice but once we mentioned the issues again that were causing us to make this decision, the quickly agreed to not charge us for another week and allowed us to withdraw him effective immediately. We then started trying to get him into the facility over at Carolina Forest, as it is closer to where I work. This was in September. When we called, everyone was so nice to us and willing to put us on the wait list, that is until we told them our name. Since then, it’s been a complete runaround. I’ve addressed this issue with Amanda who I was told was the admin over all of the facilities. I’ve addressed that we feel like we’ve been blacklisted even though we did nothing wrong. She assured me that we weren’t and promised we were at the top of the list. Well, we haven’t received one call since then. Not a single one. I’ve called several times and always told, there’s no availability at the moment. I then called in December and was told that there were several children in the infant room that were turning one and would be transitioning to the one year olds room in December and January and that I would be called mid-January at the latest. Well, here we are and it is almost mid-February and wouldn’t you know, we haven’t heard one single thing. So now, I am making our experience public and will be filing a complaint with the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education, which honestly, I should have done in the first place. Parents, if your children are in these facilities or will be, please keep a close eye on your children and keep these people honest. We placed our son here because they were all incredibly friendly and a “Christian” facility but have quickly learned, the employees do not display Christian attitudes or values. I’m sure no one without the company will respond to this, as we are used to it. I just want other parents to keep a close eye on your littles and do not hesitate to randomly inspect the environment your little ones are in.
My daughter has been going there since she was 6 weeks old. I love the staff - everyone is so nice and thoughtful . And they all love the children so much that go there. If anyone is looking for a responsible and loving place to watch their children - I would 100 percent recommend this place !!!!! I’m so happy and so is my daughter !!!
