My Sunshine Child Development Center

I’ve been using My Sunshine for going on 5 years. They’ve been a blessing! I would not trust another group of staff with my child. Communication is 10/10, they always call me or message me when any hiccups occur with my child, and they’ve even put in some nice upgrades during our time at the center while they work on upgrading the whole facility! The worst part about our time here is that it’s coming to an end with kindergarten coming up! 10/10 Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new childcare center!

My granddaughter attends this daycare and I have to say it’s awesome. The care that is given and how she loves to talk about her day is reassuring to me. Kudos to the teachers and staff! Keep up the great work!

I love this daycare. I have had both of my children under great care with amazing teachers. I have been here for two years and haven’t had any problems. I’m very thankful for them!

I'm posting this so that as a parent, you can make the best decision possible as far as who you put in charge of caring for your child/children. We needed to find a day care closer to our jobs, so we decided to enroll our two children (ages one and two) into My Sunshine CDC in Pawleys Island. They have bene going to Kids Paradise in Myrtle Beach since they were infants and we had zero problems! But since we live in Murrells, the drive became too much. Within the first two weeks, I had 4 incident reports from my son being bitten (one year old) and I thought there was something wrong with this because he might have had ONE incident report the whole time he had been at Kids Paradise. I called and spoke to the director to complain the third time he had been bitten and she told me she had assigned a third teacher in this room because they were aware they had a biter and to keep more eyes on the children. The VERY NEXT day he was back at daycare, another biting incident occurred. I was so upset and messaged the owner. However, little did I know, I was going to show up to the daycare and find out that my daughter had been severely scratched all of her face. (my two year old) So here I was at the daycare, upset because my son had been bitten four times in two weeks, and now my daughters face was severely scratched. I asked them what had happened and they said it was two separate incidents. The incident reports read that "She was scratched by a friend" and then she "fell asleep with mulch in her hand and scratched herself." Also on the incident reports they stated that they had "provided ice and gave her LOTS OF LOVE." After calling the police and collecting the video footage. From what I can tell, there is only one incident. A friend did scratch her very badly, (I understand things happen!) However, not ONCE that morning, did the teacher look at her face after she was scratched and was crying, they never put ice on her face, they didn't even notice her face until after nap time! (and in the video, you never see mulch in her hand or them removing anything from her hands.) It's very plain and simple to me, the daycare worker did not do what they were suppose to do when she was scratched so badly, they didn't attend to her face, didn't give her lots of love, I didn't get a call, because they simply didn't do their job by attending to my daughter. Therefore, she went hours without anyone even noticing she had been scratched so badly and they lied about the mulch story all together. I wouldn't recommend My Sunshine CDC to anyone. I do hope they look into their procedures and take action to make sure the children who do attend this facility are not going through what my children did while being there for a little over two weeks. My kids are at Kids Paradise again and we have not had ONE incident report and they have been back here for over a month. This place has been a blessing to us and I can't think them enough for the care and love they give our children. The drive is well worth it for us and we wont ever change again. Peace of mind is everything when you are putting your precious babies into someone else hands and all a parent can hope for is that they will take that responsibility seriously.

Our son has been going here since January 2023. We left another facility and haven’t looked back. The teachers have been absolutely amazing. The director keeps us well informed of events and things going on at the school. They treat each child as if they were their own. I look forward to many more years with them! Thank you for taking such great care of our son!
