If this community is anything like they are the weekend of the Greek Festival, this is an amazing church. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. One of the congregation gave a talk about the Greek Orthodox church and summed up about 2000 years of church history in 15 minutes and did a great job of it. They had volunteers in the church and outside of it to answer questions. The food is amazing, the dancing and programs are entertaining - all that - but the selling point is the way that they make thousands of people feel welcome every year. I saw a little girl dancing to one of the Greek bands and an older lady, from another table and obviously not related, started clapping her hands and encouraging the girl to dance. It was a sweet moment to see. Anyway, if the community is like this, it's not a traditional "look down your nose at the new person"-type place. No worries if you don't speak Greek, the guy who gave the tour said that they have cards in the pews so that you won't get lost.
Don't skip a chance to go. Well organized. Losts of food choices. Great entertainment. Take the chapel tour. Very interesting. All the members of the church were super hospitable. Parking was easy with a bus ride to the church.
