My son attended one year of PreK at MPP. We were new to Atlanta when we enrolled. We are not members of the church. The school is an awesome, inclusive community. The school does a lot of neighborhood events and engagement. Being new to the area, it was nice to make mom friends! We were invited to two birthday parties just a month after enrolling. The school has great dynamic outdoor spaces. They have a garden, kids can go for “hikes in the woods,” and the playground had many updates this year. The PreK year absolutely prepped my son for Kindergarten. He learned many new skills while cultivating a love of learning. At the beginning of the school year he couldn’t write his name, but he was writing his name and range of words by the end. The program is the right blend of play and academics. He also participated in the after school science enrichment program and really liked it. He was always excited to share what he learned and “experiment” at home. The director is very accessible and visible. She answers messages quickly. She’s very present at the school and knows all of the children by name. The enrollment coordinator was very positive, warm, and welcoming. There are clear Covid-protocols on a handy flowchart. His class had the same two teachers all year. They knew my son very well, he got plenty of individual attention. I highly recommend this preschool, especially to families new to the area that are looking for a community.
We love MPP! The teachers and director create a nurturing learning environment where my kids have learned kindness, empathy, and confidence as well as everything from dinosaurs and volcanoes to letters and numbers. The friends & community we’ve found at MPP are priceless.
My kids love Morningside Presbyterian Preschool! This is a very nurturing half day preschool environment that promotes learning through play. I can't say enough wonderful things about the teachers, Melinda- the Director, and all the parents I have met! Great place!
