My son attended Montessori Children’s House for four years and completed kindergarten at the school. Montessori has been one of the most meaningful investments I’ve made for my son and family. The school cultivates independence and initiative in its students and provides regular opportunity for children to teach and learn from each other. The staff maintains a balance of flexibility and accountability for student related behaviors and encourages students to find their own solutions and agreements for their problems. My six year old fluently reads well above grade level and understands concepts of multiplication, division and even adding/subtracting fractions. Most importantly Montessori Children’s House provided my son the foundations of leadership and intrinsic motivation as he regularly orders his own food, communicates his needs at medical visits with professionals, creates his own board games and draws in peers with his creativity and individuality. Thank you Beth, Amy, Avalon and all at Montessori! We have cherished this time greatly.
Montessori Children’s House has been such a special place for our son over the past two years. From day one, he’s grown so much—not just academically, but in confidence, independence, and curiosity. The lessons, especially the practical life activities, have had a huge impact on him. We love everything about the school—the teachers, the peaceful learning environment, and the way they respect each child’s pace. Best staff and feels amazing to drop my daughter off in an environment where she can thrive. My daughter has been going here for 3 years and I have zero regrets. Not only is she safe, but she has been growing in an uplifting environment since she was 2.5 years old, therefore she associates learning with opportunity and fun.
