Montessori Children'S Centre

We simply can’t overstate how much we LOVE Montessori. Our family has had 4 kids enrolled over the past 15 years, with each child going 2 (or more) full years prior to Kindergarten. In each case, our kids have been more than prepared for the transition to school, and their subsequent school performance reflects that in spades. But more importantly, they’ve grown in their confidence, curiosity, and independence. Montessori and its teachers and staff have cultivated and environment where our kids become not only true learners (not just memorizers), but also good humans. There’s not another preschool like it in Bloomington-Normal (and I promise, I looked!)

Montessori Children’s Centre is an amazing place for children. The staff are all so kind, patient, and dedicated to the development of each child. I love that multiple age groups are in the same room together as the younger children learn from the older children and the older children get a sense of pride from helping be a good example for the younger children. The kids are allowed to help with all sorts of things from cleaning up after lunch and snacks to leading groups, which really helps them at home and when they enter kindergarten. My daughter was so prepared for kindergarten after spending time at Montessori and still goes back to visit the wonderful teachers that she loves so much. We were so happy when our son was old enough to be enrolled and his little, energetic, self is thriving in the loving, structured, and nurturing environment that is provided by their exceptional care and guidance.

We couldn’t be more pleased with our experience at Montessori Children’s Centre! From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt a sense of warmth and community. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely care about each child’s individual needs and development. MCC fosters a passion for learning and promotes independence in an exceptionally supportive manner. Under their guidance, my child has blossomed, showing remarkable progress in both academic and social skills. The environment is full of engaging, hands-on activities that captivate my daughter’s young mind. We are incredibly proud to be a part of the MCC family. We can’t imagine what we would do without them.

This is the first center in the area that we committed to putting our children in, after using in-home daycare only. We were a little concerned about it being hard to transition to a full-time center, and we couldn’t be happier with the Montessori Children’s Centre. They did such a great job reading our daughter‘s needs, she started out so shy and not talking at all, and now she is completely out of her shell. My husband and I work full-time, and we love that the school has a full day offered.

I have so many great things to say! We have two kids that have attended Montessori and couldn’t be happier. The teachers treat them like family and we know our kids are going to be so well cared for. The kids have learned and developed so much as a result of their time at Montessori. We are so grateful for them!
