Montessori Children'S Academy

My son started the infant program a month ago and I was worried and stressed about him not adjusting and being ignored or not cared for the same as having a one on one nanny. After 1 week he became attach to teacher Anna and he would even cry for her. After the 2nd week he started to want to feed himself at home and was better at solo playing. He is already attempting sensory activities and I can see the care they give him. My toddler goes here as well and watches him like a hawk. So he tells me that his baby brother likes to be carried and doesn't cry at school. Both my kids love their teacher. The people I see leaving bad reviews have to understand the teacher to kid ratio and that everyone is trying their best to handle multiple kid breakdowns. Give them grace. My 3 year old is thriving and has already learned the solar system, days of the week, and all the months in a year in the 6 months that he has been there. Grateful for the teaching methods that are working❤️

I am so impressed with Montessori Academy of Downey! The school has had a wonderful impact on my children’s development. My 3 year old and 4 year old attend this school. My son receives speech services from an outside clinic and the school staff is always willing to implements speech techniques to help him continue his speech development throughout the week. It’s clear that the staff is dedicated to supporting their growth, and I’ve seen noticeable improvement in his communication skills. The facility is always clean, well-organized, and provides a welcoming atmosphere that makes my kids excited to go to school each day. The staff is friendly, professional, and truly cares about each child's well-being and success. I also appreciate the excellent communication between the school and parents. They are always proactive in providing updates on my children’s progress and are open to discussing any concerns. Montessori Academy of Downey has been a fantastic experience for my family, and I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a caring, effective, and nurturing environment for their children’s education.

TERRIBLE! RUN! I had to witness my son on his knees crying and begging holding on to the fence while his so-called Teacher stood next to him ignoring him! Teacher Brittany is so detached, she had the audacity to tell me my kid only speaks 1 word!!!! Cheerios REALLY? My kid speaks over 2000 words in 3 different languages! Director Veronica is the worst! She will not listen to your valid concerns instead will aggressively turn defensive and unprofessional. Door unattended with a high risk for kids to exit and worst yet they let anyone enter, nobody to check people in! and it gets worse Director Veronica allowed a random guy to come in just because he said it was his first time there and that he was the uncle of a kid. She allowed him in just like that. NOT SAFE

This Montessori preschool is truly exceptional! The teachers are incredibly knowledgeable and show genuine love and care of every child, creating a nurturing environment where little ones can grow and thrive. The classrooms are filled with engaging activities that spark creativity and curiosity, making learning so much fun for the children. The staff's passion for education and individual attention to each child's growth is unmatched.

I’m very grateful for this school. My son feels happy and safe here, and the teachers go above and beyond to support his growth.
