Sending our son to Moldovan has been one of the best decisions we've made. When James (then 22 months old) started school, he didn't even have individual words. Within 3-4 months, he was speaking in complete sentences, such as, "I want to reach for the moon." The teachers are kind and gentle and loving. They prioritize emotional regulation and self-expression. James, now almost 3, will say things like, "I feel frustrated" or "I want a hug" instead of crying, and shares toys and apologizes. They've helped him with his potty training and do so with patience and care. The curriculum includes hands-on science experiments, art, dancing, singing, and explorative play. He enjoys school so much that it's hard to get him to leave at the end of the day. Our only regret is that we didn't discover Moldovan in time for our older son to attend!

We absolutely loved the year our son spent at Moldovan Academy. He started just before he turned two and stayed until right before his third birthday, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Teacher Winnie and Teacher Magaly were both wonderful, and our son frequently went to bed singing about his teachers and classmates. The environment struck the right balance of structured learning and free play, and our son was always excited to go in the morning. Kathleen, who runs the school, is such a positive and supportive presence. The whole community felt warm and welcoming, and we’re genuinely sad to leave (only because we’re moving!). We’re so grateful for the impact this school had on our son’s early years.

Maldovan Academy is an outstanding preschool. The teachers are warm and caring- the children are so excited to see them each morning. They go above and beyond to teach children healthy and age-appropriate ways to cope with big feelings, share and treat their peers with kindness. These skills translate into big gains at home. They offer exciting activities including crafts, cooking, sports, music and movement in a structured environment that reinforces important milestones. The founder is excellent, and the community is priceless. Highly recommend!

Moldovan Academy is a gem. A world-class preschool, with small class sizes, focused on early social/emotional development. We started our daughter at Moldovan after she turned 2 and we were very nervous about how she would adjust to a preschool. She takes a long time to warm up to caregivers. She loved Moldovan almost immediately. We have tried a lot of preschools with our other child (small, large, chain, etc) and have never had such a positive experience. Teacher Magaly spends an enormous amount of time crafting a fun, original, age-appropriate lesson plan. The different projects that the children do are unique and the kids love them. Every week, a full summary is sent to parents, including each child’s contribution to a lesson and a ton of pictures. Kathleen, the owner, is incredibly invested in every child and family’s happiness at Moldovan Academy. She has an extensive background in early education and is getting or has recently completed her doctorate. She cares A LOT. We have loved the fun, family centered social activities planned during the year. Our daughter and family couldn’t be happier. Thanks Moldovan!!

Our son loves Moldovan Academy, his teachers, and all the friends he made there. He is so happy to go to school every single day and was comfortable there from the very first moments. Katheleen and her team are genuinely passionate about their mission and have created a wonderful atmosphere and environment for the little ones to learn, play, make friends, and grow. The student-to-teacher ratio is ideal and allows teachers to give each child an incredible amount of attention and build genuine relationships with them. We are very grateful and know this experience will have a highly positive impact on his development and self-confidence, in addition to creating cherished memories for him and us.
