I have been debating on leaving this review for the past year but knowing how much better my child is doing now, I feel it is important to share. Now, this facility in terms of what they offer is fantastic. Their facility was always clean and they provided nutritious meals for the kids. Most of the staff were amazing and friendly and my child started saying a lot more words because of their staff. The main issue I had was the fact I was told to rip up my child’s autism diagnosis. My child was diagnosed with Level 3 Autism and even after being shown the documents and assessment data, I was told to ignore that diagnosis because there was no way my child had autism. The signs of autism were there and his severe delays were evident, but according to the owner he didn’t have autism. My child is now in a special Preschool for kids with autism so clearly the diagnosis wasn’t wrong. Had I not been told to ignore my child’s diagnosis, this probably would have been a 5 star review.
My husband and I chose Model Kids 3 years ago. My daughter graduated and my son still attends. My daughter was more than prepared for Kindergarten and my son is on the same path. The Bush family has become an extended family. The thing I love most about model kids is that Fran looks after each kid as her own. Each day I’ve had the peace of mind knowing that my children are in great care.
During the 3 year stay of my son at Model Kids Learning Academy we experienced nothing less than great care and useful learning for my son. Fran was an excellent teacher and she cared for us, specially when the family went thru tough times. They go above and beyond to teach kids skills useful for the rest of their lives. I recommend them with no doubt.
My child has attended the daycare for 4 yrs and has always been well taken care of. Mrs.Fran and the teachers are very engaged in the children and activities. One of the things I love and that is very important to me is education. This is something that Fran stresses and is also highly important to her as well. At the age of 4 my child can recognize over 20 sight words, write legible, count to 100, and even basic math. I am very satisfied with the head start that is provided that sets the children up for success. I have even had conversations with parents that children have now moved on to the school systems and listens to their stories of how the kids are excelling.
My 5 year old has been with Ms. Fran going on a year Now we changed daycares due to her not being challenged when we came to Model Kids I watched my daughter advance A LOT she began to recognize sight words as well As learning addition and subtraction all before entering kindergarten and she was very much so reliable during the pandemic. she stayed open and still took in children whose parents were essential workers which most didn’t do in the area. I commend her and her staff for always being here and helping us out when needed.
