What Parents Say
Most parents praise MITI Kids for its hands-on, nurturing staff and educational approach, with multiple 5-star reviews highlighting long-term satisfaction. However, one detailed 1-star review alleges serious concerns including unprofessional management, lack of communication, inadequate curriculum documentation, and an unresolved allegation of physical abuse by a teacher.
I absolutely love Miti Kids Learning Center! My son has been going there since he was 2 years old. He is now 5 and recently graduated from the Pre-K program! My daughter goes there as well! We love the staff wholeheartedly! They are a small but Miti center!

The name of the center really states it all. The staff helps teach our kids and support family values. We are blessed to be apart of Miti Kids for almost 5 years!!
This is one of the most unprofessional childcare centers I have ever encountered. It used to be reasonable but the good workers left and now it's just ridiculous. First they started closing a hour early and the only reason they gave for doing so was because of day light saving time and only women working at the center locking up at 5:00. They never tried to compensate us for the inconvenience or anything and would call to see if your on your way if you were a minute late. One day they had a gas leak and instead of calling parents to inform them of this, they piled all of the kids up on their little bus and parked them across the street from the center. On another day my son had the flu and they knew he didn't feel well because they said he slept all day which was not like him but they still waited until the end of the day to take his temperature then informed me when I picked him up at the end of the day. They never did any curriculum or sent any papers home to inform me of anything my child did, if he had a good or bad day, used the bathroom or anything. They didn't help me with potty training my child and in fact one day the sent him home with dried up fecies inside his pants. The last and final straw was him screaming daily when I dropped him off which was different from a regular cry of motnjust wanting to go. So I began to ask questions and he was able to tell me his teacher was hitting him and showed me pinches. I reported this to the worker who was there when I dropped my son off that morning and asked her to have the Director to contact me which she did not. I called to speak with the Director and the assistant director said she was unavailable so I informed her of this situation and told her I didn't want my child in that room anymore plus he had recently turned 3 and shouldn't have been in there anymore anyway. She said she would give the director my message and have her call me back. The director, Ms. Barlow never called or spoke directly to me but had her assistant to call me back to say my child would have to stay in the room with the teacher who was hitting him because they didn't have any room for him in the 3 year old room. She also said they had spoken with his teacher and she said she never touched him. I said so do you all actually think she's going to admit to it and his actions shows it all. He's not lying and both of them saw the way he acted several days when I dropped him off but before she started working there he used to be happy so I would be a fool to continue to bring my child somewhere and he's telling me that someone is hitting him. Needless to say that was his last day well morning there because he was picked up immediately after that conversation. The director never contacted me, tried to apologize, come to a solution, or assure me that my child would be safe there but she never showed any professionalism. I regret ever subjecting my child to this horrible, traumatizing experience at this so called childcare center. I wouldn't recommend anyone to leave their children with these heartless, unprofessional people.
