The YMCA has been woven into every chapter of my life. I grew up at the Y, and now my children have, too. My sons played sports there throughout their childhood, and my youngest explored every sport the Y had to offer before finding the one she loves most. But the YMCA has always been more than just a place to play or work out , it’s where we’ve built friendships, found support, and stayed connected to our community. It’s where I gave back by coaching, volunteering, and joining charity events that made a real impact. From the excitement of Parent Night Out as a child to staying healthy and strong as an adult, the Y has been a safe and welcoming place at every stage of life. In every city I’ve lived, it’s felt like home. It’s not just a gym , it’s a cornerstone of community, growth, and belonging.
They say they don’t have enough seating for the swim tournaments. There is plenty of room if you didn’t allow everyone to bring in portable stadium seats. Ban the seats and everyone could have a seat.
1. 🚨 get a worker in the men’s locker so I don’t have to listen to these 13 year old homeschooled swim kids talk about their reproductive organs as I try to get ready for work, please and thank you. It’s actually so strange. 2. Let’s get these front desk workers to put a smile on their face 😁😁 and a nice greeting most all of them do but for the ones that don’t let’s work on that. 3. There is always something wrong at this place, either closing them down for days or delaying opening, or ruining anything of convenience. I.e. 24/7 access wasnt working on dates 2/22, 2/21, 1/31, 1/28. Basketball courts always closed, pools always unavailable. I have never seen CRUNCH or any other gym has as many closing or delays as this gym.
I have experienced insane harassment by an employee that works there. To the point where I now have no choice, but to file a VPO on her. I’m still waiting for the actual office to call me directly, but they keep ignoring me and instead she’s reaching out. I am waiting for a call from the actual office themselves and not Holly K. Thank you very much for your time and thinking about this. Appreciate you.
I use the competition size pool during the week and the upstairs non-weight bearing machines. Lifeguard Larry is amazing. He assists swimmers in finding an open lane, knowing his repeat customers so well that he knows who will soon be wrapping up their workout. He's pleasant and encouraging and assists as needed in so many ways, even getting a towel for you if you forgot to grab one. The receptionist desk folks are so nice and helpful as well. It's clean and generally well maintained, although the drying machines for your swimsuits are often down, probably from some errant piece of clothing that someone attempted to dry, so customer error. Thank you Chris Berry and crew for running a top-notch place.
