Miramelinda Montessori School

We've sent both of our children to Miramelinda since 2020 (one currently enrolled) and have had an exceptional experience with the school as a whole. The Head of School, Lymichelle, is a gem in our community: a top notch educator with the most solid understanding of the Montessori philosophy of anyone I have met. Her integration of the philosophy is apparent in the measured approach she takes with children's needs; the warm and inviting atmosphere she creates; and of course, the joyful experience our children have had. We chose Miramelinda because every teacher in the room is trained to observe and provide individualized attention to each child as needed. We've noticed that each interaction with each child is respectful, each material chosen is deliberate and each decision Lymi and her team make is intentional, which gives our son a supportive and caring environment to thrive. Joining the Miramelinda community has been the best decision we've made for our two boys, and we couldn't be happier with the foundation of education and care they have received at such a young age.

The bilingual, Montessori education that our children received at Miramelinda was nothing short of phenomenal. Lymichelle has a gift for working with children (and their parents) and we could not be more grateful to have had our children be part of the Miramelinda community. We knew very little about Montessori education when our children started at Miramelinda and the parent education nights were incredibly helpful in opening our eyes. After Miramelinda our children continued in Montessori until Kindergy and the foundation that Lymichelle lays for children set them up very well for this.

Nothing but amazing things to say about Miramelinda. This was the first 'school' experience for our son, and we always felt confident that he was in loving and safe hands. Lymi and the team at Miramelinda are patient, thoughtful and the true definition of educators.

We were so lucky to find Miramelinda and Lymi for our son! It was our first school experience and the constant communication, love, support, and learning environment were spectacular. At two, we were amazed at how much our son grew in his independence, his appreciation of art, and how proud he was to contribute to helping the classroom community. He was excited to learn to mop, prepare snack, and assist his classmates, whenever he could. The bilingual learning environment is excellent, practical, and a wonderful immersive way for a young person to learn language.

Miramelinda is a very special school. It provides a safe and nurturing environment to its students — and a community for families! As first-time parents, we learned so much from Lymi and the staff at Miramelinda, not only about the Montessori method and curriculum, but also about navigating important and challenging phases of our child’s development. The Spanish immersion element was also fantastic, and influenced our decision to continue with language immersion in our children’s education to the present day. We are eternally grateful to Miramelinda for the unparalleled gift they gave our family. We made life-long friends through the school, who we continue to treasure long after we moved away from Cambridge. As a “Montessori kid” myself, it was so special to watch our child learn in such a great school that stays so true to the philosophical legacy of Maria Montessori. We have continued with Montessori education with all our children. Although we have been so lucky with the schools in which we enrolled our children, we are particularly fond of our experience with Lymi and Miramelinda.
