Both my children attended MELA, and I couldn't be happier with our experience! The staff and teachers are truly amazing - caring, patient, and dedicated. The 2 year old program was wonderful and even helped potty train both of my kids. The 4 year old program did an incredible job preparing them for TK, both academically and socially. I can't say enough great things about this preschool. It's been such a positive and nurturing place for our family. Highly recommend!
I toured over 7 preschools in Palos Verdes and this was the best choice. My daughter has been attending MELA for 3 years and has had an amazing experience. The school is run very well, the teachers truly care about their students and it is such a wonderful community. The teachers are so wonderful— truly take the time to get to know the kids and their families. I am planning to send my second daughter to MELA! Cannot recommend it enough.

Teachers and staff real care for the development and wellbeing of the children. My son started when he was 2 and going on be 4 soon. He is thriving and really looks forward to going to school. They have fun activities for the kids throughout the year. They really focus on preparing kids for Kindergarten. The school is linked to PV school district but you don’t have to be a resident. Highly recommend for those who are interested.
I have had 2 kids go through MELA. It is an amazing first schooling experience. All the teachers are warm, welcoming and dedicated to instilling a love of school in your child. The school is also small enough that every teacher from every class would see my child walking in and say hi by name. It's a real tight knit, cozy environment. My kids also learned so much. After moving on to Dapplegray Elementary school, the tk & kinder teachers have expressed how well prepared all the students who come from MELA are. Since MELA is part of PVPUSD, the teachers really know what is needed for the students as they move through pre school onto elementary school. They have amazing play equipment and get lots of outdoors time. When in the 2 year old program they really help when going through the dreaded potty training. I am sad to be leaving MELA as my youngest just graduated, but all the amazing teachers at MELA will always hold a place near and dear to my heart.
