Mini Marvels Too

PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST BEFORE ENROLLING YOUR CHILD INTO MINI MARVELS TOO. If i could give this daycare 0 stars i would! This daycare is very nasty and unprofessional. One of my kids only went for 1 day and the other two finished out the week. We spent Christmas and new years suffering from RSV. Never in my life has any of my kids had RSV or have been sick for over two weeks. Mind you the child that attended for only one day had gotten sick the next day. EVERY SINGLE CHILD LOOKED SICK AND HAD SNOT ROLLING DOWN THEIR FACES. I enrolled my three boys in the beginning of December. Before enrolling them i went to go check the daycare out and speak with the director herself Shanaye, and i let her know over the phone and in person about my children. This would be their second time in daycare and that it has been over a year since they’ve been to one. I just moved here so I’m looking for something close to my home. I told her my oldest son has autism and is not potty trained and she assured me both times that it would not be a problem. I enrolled my kids and i popped up throughout the day just to make sure they were doing okay. I saw no signs of stress or my kids just acting way out of character. The teacher for my oldest son, who again has autism let him undress hisself in the classroom, i come to check on him and bring him a lunch and she let me know what happened and im not sure why he would do that because he doesn’t do that at home. He actually likes to keep clothes on so i thought that was weird. While there i did tell the teacher that at if any moment she feels like she can’t handle my son to pls give me a call so i can relieve because i know how overwhelming it can be! A few hours later i get a call from the director saying he will no longer be able to attend the daycare because the teacher can’t handle him. I get there and ask what was he doing and he “was taking toys from other kids and would not sit down.” I mean he is AUTISTIC. It’s his FIRST DAY at a daycare in a very long time. And he was actually enjoying himself. Everytime i went to go check on him he was in his own world playing with blocks which is what he does at home. I also had another teacher which was the only one i liked tell me other wise. The children were taking toys from my son and he reacted to them taking his toys. Which is very understandable being that any child would react to someone coming and taking a toy from them. I did not appreciate this at all. I felt like the teacher nor the director did not want to even try to give my child a chance. I let the other two stay for the remainder of the week because i did pay an enrollment fee, which i feel like i should get back at this point. I went to go pick up my other two later on in the week and i noticed my son had changed clothes and when i asked about it i was then informed at 5:30 pm that my son had thrown up that morning. WHY WOULD YOU NOT TELL ME IF MY CHILD WAS SICK? That did not sit right with me at all. I used to work in a daycare so i know protocol when it comes to dealing with children. So for them to not at least notify me and let me know my child had gotten sick made me really upset. They also did not clean off the clothes, they sent me clothes covered in vomit. WORST DAYCARE IVE EVEN ENCOUNTERED. Please do not send your autistic children here or any child if you care about your child’s well being.

Mini Marvels Too has been so awesome for my foster son. They have been so supportive and encouraging. He absolutely loves it.
