This place is a joke and a scam. If only the owner knew how this place was run. Somebody please get me in contact with the owner. His director is a joke. She’s rude, incompetent and blatantly a liar. My friends child had a discovery day and when she walked in she could tell that management offered these teachers little to no assistance. All of the 1 star reviews are accurate. The staff are overworked and overwhelmed. This place is joke. We need to be reporting this director and her group of goonies to the owner directly. The director will tell you one thing. I’ve read the poor reviews and there are literal concerns that need to be taken care of instead of a vague reply from the owner. The front desk lady is also rude and acts like she too good to talk to anyone. Please I beg you, do not send your child to this daycare not while it is being run by the current management. They are all super friendly on the phone and then completely different and fake when you get them in person. They do not take concerns seriously. I feel for each one of the parents that have sent their children here. I feel for everyone that works here under their reign of terror. They treated my friend and her child like a joke. The teachers are great and they need to be paid more but until the current management team is out I do not recommend sending your child to this daycare.

Long but worth to read Today was my 2 years and 9 months old daughter’s discovery day, for only about 2.5 hours. I received a voicemail from the teacher saying everything was going well and that she was doing great. When I arrived and spoke directly with her classroom teacher, she confirmed the same: my daughter struggled and cried at the beginning (which is very normal), then she relaxed, played with other children, followed directions, and participated in outdoor activities. I personally watched her playing with the other kids. However, I was shocked when the director told me they would not accept her because she “didn’t adjust” and needed one-on-one attention, cuddling, and soothing, and that they are a group-teaching facility. This was very disappointing and confusing. The whole reason I enrolled my daughter in daycare is to help her adjust, learn that she is not the only child, and develop social skills appropriate for her age, especially since she has been home with me. It felt unfair to imply that I did something wrong by keeping my child at home longer. Toddlers are not supposed to come in as “ready-made” children who already know how to function perfectly in a group. That is literally what daycare is meant to help teach. Another daycare director just two blocks away told me that they usually need at least three weeks to determine whether a child truly cannot adjust. She also shared that in her 16 years of experience, she only turned away one child—and that was after a full week, not less than three hours. What made this even more disappointing is that the classroom teacher was positive and encouraging until I mentioned what the director had said. This experience felt unprofessional and inconsistent. To other parents: please enroll your children in a place that is willing to put in effort and truly support your child’s development. From my experience, this facility seems to prefer only “easy” cases. I am disappointed, but thankful that this is not the only daycare in town. For my daughter, I would even change states if needed to find a place that respects her, supports her development, and does their job professionally. Edit after the respond: Again I said her class room teacher said opposite of what the director said even she asked me when they will see her again so I don’t know why the director decided by herself and really doesn’t matter cause after I reviewed the reviews here I know now God did this for purpose cause as the other parents is saying its not safe alot of reviews talk about how there children come home switch there water cups with others or pacifier so God was protecting my precious baby And for bragging about your free discovery day it wasn’t about money for us I could pay triple of what your tuition just for her anyway you need to let your director communicate with the teachers before they decide cause it was funny when her teacher asked me when we ill see her again so she didn’t know that the director decided and again you need to have more professional teachers “not high school grads as One of her teachers on the door resume is saying “ so they will know how to treat children in there first days its normal for a child to cry for a week cause its new for them go and educate yourself about childcare And again for parents read all the reviews cause they are not that good for real

No teaching. My step daughter went to this school for years and learned nothing. She's in a kindergarten education level in the second grade. Unfortunately I have no influence in this or her dad, but it's interesting that the owner also owns Sylvan and is a leader in education in Tuscaloosa county. You would think this center would be on top of education. You guessed it...she was referred to Sylvan for tutoring , which we declined but it was up to her mom. Seems like a pipeline if others are complaining about the lack of education at this center. Let's do better by these kids please.

Absolutely satisfied with the care we’ve received at Children’s Lighthouse of Hoover. The staff are warm, caring, and truly invested in the well-being and development of each child. Max has grown so much since starting here, I couldn't be happier with the nurturing environment. The activities are engaging and fun, the facility is clean and safe, lastly the communication is great! High quality pictures are shared on their app and as a working mom I love to see pictures of him through out the day! Highly recommend. First picture of him in room 1 with Mrs.Yasmin and second picture currently in room 7!
