Mid Rivers Day Care

I toured a few schools for my 1 year old daughter.. It’s scary putting your first kiddo in the hands of strangers basically but that changed as soon as I walked into mid rivers daycare. I immediately felt good vibes as soon as I walked in and knew this was the place for Aurora! It’s clean and there is an actual curriculum! :) The director and teachers have helped me mold my now kindergartener into the smart and talented kind young lady she is. They’ve worked with me a lot and made me feel extremely comfortable with their genuineness and transparency throughout the 4 years she’s been there. Special thanks to you all. We love MRDC! Sending your first baby to daycare is hard. The staff here has made the transition easy for us. I’ve recommended this daycare to numerous friends and will continue to do so.

Absolutely love this place and so do my 2 boys who are 4 and 3. They love that they get to be together in the same room throughout different parts of the day. This was the 2nd day care my boys have went to and after their first day, they couldn't wait to go back the next day! They are ALWAYS telling me what they learned at school that day and I always get lesson plans for both of them so that I know what they are learning. Theresa, the Director, is very nice and will answer all of your questions without you feeling rushed. She definitely treats you as part of the family and not just someone they are making money off of. The teachers are also very involved with the kids and the classrooms are small so that the kids get that one on one attention if need be. I would recommend this place to anyone!! My 2-year-old daughter has been a full-time attendee to Mid Rivers Daycare since she was 4 months old. She was enrolled part-time as early as 3 months to help me transition back to work. Important Comparison Points to Other Centers: (1) Open 6am-6:30pm. My long commute to work and need to run errands usually means my daughter stays here 8am-6pm (10 hours is the max she's allowed) every day. (2) Only closed for exact holidays. No strange days off here. Very consistent schedule! (3) Teachers have been working here for many years. My daughter has loved every teacher here, and she sees all of them throughout the day. (4) Ages mingle in morning and evening play. My daughter loves to play with the "big kids" when the day comes to an end, and I love that she is social with older kids when we visit family and friends. Being an only-child, my daughter still warms up to other kids well, since she plays with older kids every day. (5) Indoor and outdoor playgrounds allow my daughter to get exercise in any weather. When the sun is out, her class plays outside with tricycles, sand, water, and more. (6) Multi-room layout means my daughter's class day is varied. Certain or areas are for reading. Others are for resting, eating, playing music, watching educational shows, and playing with blocks or puzzles. (7) Daycare potty-trained my daughter! She wanted to wear "big girl panties" because other kids wore them. She is always excited to get a "potty prize" from a small assortment of candy and toys. She puts the item in her cubby to enjoy at home. I don't let her have candy...i think she figured that out, because she only picks toys now.

My daughters been here since she was 6 weeks old and I love it. The staff is amazing and so is the director! She had learned so much in the two years there and thrives in everything she does!
