Reviews are mixed and largely unrelated to daycare services. Most reviews praise the facility as an event and studio rental space with a renovated school building, free parking, and welcoming owner. However, one long-term tenant reported serious HVAC issues that were not properly maintained.
Wichita Fine Arts Atelier is housed here as well as other creative businesses. They have commercial cooking kitchens, studio space to rent, a big gymnasium great for wedding receptions. I'm a member of Wichita Fine Arts Atelier and love that we have free parking, a cool re-purposed school building, and plenty of space.
Rented the gym and kitchen for an event this summer and the place was perfect. We had our high school reunion here and everything was phenomenal. The owner went all out for us it was certainly a night to remember. I would highly recommend renting this space for an event.
As a two year resident of this space, in the beginning, it seemed like a great location to hold a studio, due to the cheap rent, but over time.... The heating and air conditioning were broken nearly year round, and the landlord constantly made promises to fix things or to upgrade the building, but never did anything. During the final summer here, it was typically 90+ degrees in the studio every day, even with two fans running in the room and the a/c was never operational. During the winter, when the heater wasn't working, it would get down to 40-50 degrees, so it required space heaters, but once the heater was fixed, it wasn't bad. The complete lack of A/C when it was supposed to be operational, though, is what forced me into a 1 star rating.
My fiancee and I stop by unannounced. The owner happen to be on the property. He was very welcoming, and more than happy to show us around. This place looks like the start to an affordable yet epic event center.
Logan is great, the school is gorgeous, and our studio space was cleaned and fully stocked with tables and workspaces when we arrived. Couldn't ask for better studio space for burgeoning artists.
