Merryhill School-Laguna Park

My son started at Merryhill Laguna @ 14 months in the toddler class. We quickly noticed a leap in his development! He began talking more, he excelled socially, and he learned a lot! Before he was 2, he could count to 20 and count backwards, could identify all colors and numbers and can say a couple of words in Spanish and sign! The teachers in that class were great! Ms. Melissa is still there doing amazing! He has recently transitioned into the beginners class and so far, the same great experience. Ms. Liz, Ms. Sabrina and Ms. Bailey are all so kind and doing great helping him get settled in his new class!

I will 100% recommend Merryhill to anyone I know searching for a private school. In the beginning I was hesitant on starting my little one in school, but after the tour, getting any and every question answered, and then after one week of going he was showing his excitement the moment we pulled in the parking lot. That to me tells me I made the right decision. Everyone there from the lovely principal Ms. Kathleen, her fabulous assistant principal Ms. Vanessa, our teachers Ms. Sofia & Ms. Kat to everyone in between makes it feel like a second home. We are already 4 months in and I am noticing a huge improvement on speech, showing me all the colors they’re learning, and sharing and interacting with kids. I promise, it’s worth every penny.

Merryhill Laguna is so wonderful. I have had 2 kids attend this preschool and they have thrived. The social and educational aspects for young kids are unmatched. We are so grateful for all of the amazing staff and teachers we get to interact with everyday! My son asks every morning if he gets to go see his Ms. Kat and Ms. Sophia. Thank you Kat, Sophia, and everyone at Merryhill Laguna!

We’ve absolutely loved our time at Merryhill Laguna! My daughter had a very tough time at the start of the school year, but all the staff were so supportive at drop off & had great communication through the school’s app. I really like how the app makes it easy to message the school, receive pictures of your child, read the daily report on what they are doing (learning, eating, reading etc) & access the newsletters/updates. So much love for Ms Sara as our intermediate teacher (among others that are no longer at the school)! The start of this school year was a breeze, in comparison to last year, which I think is a true testament to how Merryhill Laguna creates a safe & fun environment for children to grow. My daughter is so resilient & begs to get dropped off to school early because she can’t wait to go play with her friends. We love Ms Nimfa & Ms Kyrin as our pre-k teachers! I can tell they will prepare their students well for kindergarten & I am so glad we decided to do one more year at Merryhill instead of TK at our neighborhood public school. Principal Kathleen is very approachable & responsive to any concerns I’ve had. The school is diverse in the student & staff population, which was important for our family. Also, they go above & beyond to put on events for parents to attend with their children (Fiesta, grandparents day, mother’s & Father’s Day, Thanksgiving cultural feast, breast cancer walk, trunk or treat etc.). I highly recommend Merryhill Laguna & will be sending my 2nd little one there this coming spring.

We love Merryhill Preschool Laguna. They welcomed us even though we enrolled our daughter late in the fall 2023. The teachers are caring and they update us of what activities our kid is doing. They have different and exciting themes for learning each month that makes us parents involved. Miss Mckenzie, the principal, is very nice, helpful and approachable; all of the staff are very nice. Tk teachers Debbie and Nimfa treats our daughter kindly and gives fair and honest assessment and comments to our kid’s report. My child developed a lot of skills during her time here and she likes the school a lot. The place is safe and very pleasant environment/ community around the school.
