As a mom of 5 children I have always been uneasy about leaving my kids with just anyone but I met Mary in 2009 when I needed child care for my 2 boys at the time. Mary had in her earlier years of service cared for my fiancé and his siblings, so upon meeting her I knew she was a great fit for my boys. She has been one of the most supportive and loving providers, 3 months after my 3rd son was born our house burned down in 2011 she didn’t hesitate to jump in and help with the boys and set up a drop off at her house and center to help us get back some of the things we lost. So Fast forward… Now here we are 15 years later and not only has she cared for my older boys she has my girls too. As a parent I’ve been so blessed to have such an amazing place to take my kids to that I have NO fear of their safety or the care that’s provided. I have chosen to place all of my babies in her care because I know they are loved and cared for as good as if I was doing it. I highly recommend Marry land academy to anyone who is in need of child care.
Horrible experience pretty much the whole time my children were enrolled! The owner has no idea what’s going on 99.9% of the time. My youngest baby’s feeding schedule was NOT being followed and his stomach suffered tremendously. Mary the owner is very very rude and threatened to contact DSS on me for marks that appeared at the center! There is maybe 5 teachers there that actually know what they are doing and are so sweet but dealing with Mary is the absolute worst! If you ask questions regarding your child’s care, she will tell you to find a new center or throw up DSS. Very difficult woman to communicate with. Would highly suggest looking elsewhere for child care.
Merry Land caregivers are sweet and caring to my children. They communicate with me frequently and my daughter, 3 years old, talks enthusiastically about her teacher.
I would not recommend this facility for child care. She does not follow rules set by the state of NC.
If I could add a 0 star rating I would. The owner is very rude and hostile. She was even rude to my child because of petty attitude with me. They would sent my child home with a fever but when we’d check her temperature she’d never have one. They even checked her temperature in front of us after send her home with one and when it read 97.4 they still said she couldn’t return. When we asked why they threw our child out. Do not use this facility. I’ve spoken to multiple other mothers who say their children would be sent home almost once a week with a fever that they wouldn’t have. I would recommend not taking your child here.
