Merrimac Day Care Centre

I wanted to provide a unique review on this daycare. I’m 34 years old and attended this daycare as a child and so did my brother when we were 4 weeks to 12 years old. I remember a time they rented an horse and all the children got to take turns sitting on it in the play ground, and my brother broke his hand once in the 90s jumping off the wooden fort in the back (not sure if it’s still there). I remember Ms. Jenna, Ms. Ester and Ms. Donna (there were 2 Donna’s, one was the owner or director) and Ms. Brenda. Although times and staff have changed since I attended 20 years ago, I personally have a good experience here from what I remember. I remember the staff caring about us and remember it as a positive experience growing up.

My daughter started daycare when she was 10 months old and she’s is now 2! This place has been a great blessing to us, the teachers are kind and supportive. The director Mrs Sheila is an amazing woman. Ms Kristie, Ms Cassey, Ms Shanna they are really good with kiddos, place always stays clean I have no complaints so far since we started bringing my baby. They are hands on, children learn so much because my daughter is speaking lots of words, they do a lot of activities, have picture days, the teachers and directors communicate effectively, they are receptive and respectful. In my opinion this is a great place for us. And yes I saw the previous reviews when I first was looking for a daycare but I decided to give them a try and we are here still with Merrimac.

My son has been attending for almost 2 years and Merrimac has done an excellent job of caring for him. Many of the staff have been there several years, some more than a decade, so very good stability. My son always comes home happy and they always keep me informed if any incidents arise, which is rare. The ladies that work there are attentive and the environment is maintained clean. My mind is at ease when my son is in their care.

REAL AND HONEST REVIEW This daycare has been the best thing I could have done for my child. My child is more advanced than the kids his age that are in our family that do not attend. My child has been attending since he was 2 months old and he is now 2 and half. We have gone from the infant room to the toddler room and now in the third room and I have witnessed so much love and care for my child. As another parent mentioned, no day care is perfect, but this daycare actually cares! They are always looking for ways to improve and appreciate parents' feedback. So much that my two siblings have their children here as well. Its literally our family's day care. Just a couple of pros that I have to mention... Pictures are taken several times of year available for purchase and I have enjoyed this. During the summer they have water activities and Ice cream days! They call you when things happen out of the ordinary and you don't have to wait till the end of the day. They provide breakfast and lunch. There's more but I feel like you should tour it for yourself if you are interested. Thank you Merrimac!! <3

Merrimac has helped me raise my now 10 year old son since he was 1 year old. You will not find a daycare that feels more like home like you will here. Ms Sheila, Ms Kirstie, and Ms Cassie are the best! They will love your kid just as much as you do :)
