What Parents Say
Based on available reviews, MAGNA RECREATION CHILD CARE CENTER receives positive feedback. The one parent review specifically about child care praises the facility for excellent care, engaging activities including field trips and special events, though noting difficulty getting enrollment. Most reviews actually address the recreation center's gym and pool facilities rather than child care specifically.
BIG Rob and his team do an AMAZING job keeping the pool clean. We've been going to other pools around town until we recently discovered Magna's pool and wish we had found this place earlier. Ricardo and his team has also been running the sporting events like a well oiled machine the last several years making it one of the best experiences amongst rec centers. We appreciate their crew and enjoy the hospitality.
Not a lot of equipment; no hack squat, hip thrust machines, limited on what you can do, crowd depends on the time of day you go, after enforcing those new rules it's been a lot better. Quiet. Friendly staff. Always clean. I chose this gym because it's the closest to my house.
I only have experience with the child care here, but it has been great if you can get in! They really take care of the kids and have them do exciting activities like field trips, splash pad days, and today they even had a carnival with bouncy castles and obstacle courses.
The reffing staff for all the sports need better training! It is unfair to these kids who just want a great learning experience when the staff/refs all have different rules every game day. Rules keep changing. First one thing is okay then the next game it’s not okay. Then it’s okay again.. your staff then does not make calls equally for both teams when playing a game.. it confuses these kids/coaches, It causes tention and bullying during the game and kills the whole fun experience. Please do better, now!
Nice community recreation center. Workout equipment is generally in good condition. The dumbbells are all over the floor if they had additional racks to organize the weights along the lifting area it also needs some rubber mats so the dumbbells don't get damaged or break the concrete floor. For the size of the gym it has pretty much the equipment you need to have a complete workout. The facility is never too crowded and people are friendly. There is a day care during the day which is convenient for people close by, there is an outdoor pool and a soccer field it seems a good place for families with kids. The basketball courts are nice there are two. There is an indoor track upstairs and some little equipment in some awkward spots to make use of the space. The place is good and serves as a rec center to the community. Maybe needs some updating but is not terrible. I never get to figure out their cleaning towel station - there is a desk with a young guy folding towels and filling spray bottles with sanitizer - supposedly you clean up after yourself which is a great idea specially in areas where you make skin contact, there is a basket where you deposit dirty towels to the laundry. I suggest using disposable sanitizing wipes and have multiple stands around the gym for patrons to use. The kid that is always there is falling asleep or watching YouTube I bet the position is boring. All the staff is very kind and friendly, there is a guy at the front desk that always says have a good workout! They create a good welcoming environment. There are classes for aerobics in the evenings or Saturdays. Maybe they can promote some social events where people would participate or get involved into fitness example sports, resistance classes, running marathons. They seem to care about maintaining the facility and is appreciated cause there are not gyms in Magna and all the commercial gyms nearby are packed and not clean.
