What Parents Say
Living Hope Christian Childcare Center receives mostly positive feedback from parents praising the loving, respectful staff and clean facility. However, one parent reported a negative experience during their child's first day, citing what they felt was an inflexible and unsympathetic response to their toddler's distress-induced vomiting.
We have 3 kids 5, 3, and 1 year old. Our oldest attended Living Hope for a few months before kindergarten and he loved. Our youngest ones have been attending for several months now and they have only ever been treated with love and respect. The facility is beautiful and the staff is wonderful. I appreciate the daily reports they give. It's nice to have a snapshot of the day. My kids love attending here and I feel good about sending them there.
All three of my children have had fantastic care from the very beginning of this Childcare Center opening. They come home excited about what they learn every day. Our oldest has moved onto Kindergarten, but our youngest two still attend. The workers are fantastic and super attentive, while the facility is extremely user friendly and clean.
My child is a two-year-old. Now it does take a moment for him to warm up – I won’t lie he has tantrums like EVERY OTHER TWO-YEAR-OLD. Now there are some kids (my son happens to be one of them) who sticks their hands in their mouth and can make themselves sick when they are upset. Our original daycare closed on 07/14. So we moved him to Living Hope I thought it would be best to rip off the band-aide and leave my son with the staff so that he will adjust faster without momma & daddy around. Not even 10 minutes later – we’re still in the lobby I can hear my son screaming what I don’t hear is the staff trying to calm him down. The teacher from his classroom comes into the lobby interrupts the conversation I’m having with another staff member places his hands in the at chest level palms facing forward and very abruptly says, “You cannot leave. You need to take your son. He just puked.” I said wait a minute now I can hear my son crying he’s clearly upset this is a new day care, new kids, new teacher he hasn’t even adjusted to it yet. His response was, “It doesn’t matter the reason behind it. We’ll have the director take his temperature but if he doesn’t have a temp then we’ll see about him staying.” I saw the director grab the thermometer headed to my son’s classroom. She brought my son to the lobby (which tells me she already had her decision made to send him home) took his temp in front of us confirmed no fever but then looked at us and said, “He still needs to go home. I need a Dr. note to prove he’s not infectious and you’ll need to wait 24 hours to come back after that.” I said well, now wait a minute he’s scared he’s upset puts his fingers in his mouth and makes himself sick he’s not ill it’s something we’re working on. She said “making himself sick is not a thing. And if it’s a “thing” I’ll need a Dr. note.” My thoughts REALLY lady you want me to take my kid to the Dr. Office to get a note that says when he’s upset he has a tendency to put his fingers in his mouth sometimes can result in puking? Clearly you lack experience in the childcare industry. There was no remorse, empathy or even a grain. I have NEVER met a director and son *who is the teacher* so cold in my entire life. They didn’t give my son a chance. I am so disappointed this daycare – it came recommended by the staff of our old daycare. I value the opinion of my previous daycare. Unfortunately, some of my old staff is there - which I now this hurts them by writing this review and I'm torn about that. Living Hope was the by far the worse experience we’ve ever had. I have never dealt with such unprofessional, unreasonable, cold people in the child care industry. I would like my kids to be in a daycare that is ran like a family, nurturing and "warm and fuzzy" the world is already cold and isolated placing our children in this environment would only promote that.
Great and wonderful place excellent staff ! Excited to start my almost 3yr old I'm very confident in knowing my child will be safe and also have a great learning experience .
The staff is wonderful! And, the facility is very nice as well.
