I attended leaves of learning from age 11 to graduation. It was the best experience I could have asked for as a child. I was accepted, loved, listened to, and cared for by all around me. The adults wanted to teach and help the children, not just the curriculum but learn how the child learns. Going outside. Creating videos. Being kind and to one another. We respected each other always first. I met my best friends there and am so lucky to have had this childhood. Leaves is where I would take my kid if I had one, and I recommend it to all my friends with children. Especially those with learning challenges or anyone that doesn’t feel like they “fit in”. You can at leaves. It was where you felt safe.

Leaves of Learning is great if your child is neurotypical and doesn't have any mental health issues. They do not follow their own guidelines when there is an issue. When this was brought up, excuses were given. Also, I do not recommend them if your child is LGBTQ+. Issues were ignored instead of investigated. I will say there are some wonderful teachers among some subpar teachers. The teachers that are great, are really great.

i've been at leaves since i was young. to start, not only are the students welcoming and kind, the teachers make it feel so interesting and rewarding to come to school. the administration is INCREDIBLE and goes out of their way to make learning and socializing easy and fun. i would 100% recommend this to many others and am proud to say i look forward to going to school every day, thank you for all that you do for us leaves!

I was a student at this hellhole of a school. I was relentlessly bullied for my identity, and for rumors and lies made up about me. Some staff knew about this and did nothing about it. In addition, I was kicked out for sending a slightly revealing photo of my friend in a school group chat, talking about how I could not find her and wanted my friends to keep an eye out for her. Also, there was a student who was trans, and went by they/them pronouns. There were multiple times they had gone to the administration with genuine concerns, but to no avail. About two years ago, this student detransitioned and started going by she/her pronouns once again. After this, the staff started listening to her much more, including an entirely baseless accusation that had nearly gotten me kicked out. When I did get kicked out, my mother was told that the person who reported me was a newer student, which makes me think that part of the reason I was kicked out was to satisfy this new family so that they would keep coming back and giving them more money. I am a senior so it would've been my last year. Additionally, when I had gotten kicked out, they did not want to give us our money back, even though I had only been going for a few weeks. My mother said it best. If you are queer or neurodivergent, this school is not right for you. They did not honor my IEP, which for those who do not know is something to help special needs children succeed in school where they would normally struggle. Most of the students at this school are bullies, liars, and downright horrible people, and the staff are pushovers when it comes to money. Do not send your child to this school. If you are seeing this and your child is in this school, finish the year and do not come back. Trust me when I say they are not as welcoming and friendly as they claim to be. Thank you for reading, and goodbye.

Leaves of learning is an amazing program which has brought me and my closest friends new ways to learn and make me feel safe in a school environment which you don’t always find everywhere. I have never felt more welcomed and felt such positive energy from a place more than leaves of learning!
