What Parents Say
Little People's Child Development Center has deeply polarized reviews. Five parents praise the educational curriculum, staff stability, and safety features like remote viewing cameras. However, six parents report serious concerns including aggressive staff behavior toward children, inadequate supervision, health/hygiene issues, lack of incident documentation, and unprofessional management.
My daughter attended this daycare for about 2.5 years, and the only reason I continued to go here was because there were no other openings at other childcare facilities. The two front office workers always come off so rude and harsh with the children. The workers that you finally do trust with your children never stay long, each day I would never know who would be taking care of my child. You are required to bring in daycare supplies, not for your child but for the facility to use such as paper towels and craft supplies, or you are charged an extra $20 a month. My child has come home with bite marks and scratches without any incident form ever being brought out for me to sign, once I brought it to their attention forms would magically appear a few days later for me to sign. I have walked through to pick up my daughter and witnessed staff members screaming at the one and two year olds and yanking them by their arms and sitting them down in seats very aggressively when the children were being normal toddlers and getting into things. There are many texts I would receive from the facility stating that they would just not be open leaving me to scramble for childcare or having to call into work, and once asked if we would be credited for the day we were told no. The one time the owner Janet did agree to credit me ONE day, she tried to charge me for after and required me to send the proof that I had where she told me it would be credited. She closed the daycare for a week and required us to still pay and said it was the parents fault she had to close because all we do is bring our sick children in, and now she has to clean the rooms. Janet the owner is the absolute worst part of this daycare, she is rude, she lies, and she is very unprofessional. When a workers was arrested for sexual intercourse with a minor and I was concerned because this woman was around my daughter I was told she never worked with my daughter and was never in her room but I would pick my daughter up from that same woman at times prior to all of that information coming to light and this worker had also approached us at the grocery store telling me how much she just loved my daughter.. I could go on and on about so many other things that I found wrong with this daycare and I have text messages, pictures, etc of all of these things. It got to the point that my daughter no longer enjoyed going to daycare and would scream and cry anytime that I would drop her off so I finally quit bringing her and figured out a different form of childcare. Some of the reviews on here almost seem as if they cannot be true but most of what they are saying I have witnessed as well. Be cautious using this daycare.
It's been years since we used this daycare but I see it hasn't changed. I forgot to share why not to use this daycare. My son was bit on each arm to the point of swelling and bruising and there was no incident report. Had to deal with management for a couple days for them to magically find a report but the girl was new so she hid it for confidentiality. THEY PUT A NEW GIRL IN THE BABY ROOM THAT NEVER WORKED IN CHILDCARE BEFORE. RED FLAG. They pulled cameras and said she was changing a really bad diaper. So this was the excuse as to why another child had enough time to lock jaw on each arm of my child. I withdrew my son immediately.
My daughter was sent home with her father after they had a letter from child services stating he could not pick them up. His ID wasn’t checked and he wasn’t asked who he was or anything. It took over two days for the director/owner to finally be able to speak with me about it. She told me that she didn’t like my son and would be dismissing my children from the center. The management there is absolutely awful! I asked about several alterations and never received anything back on them. A worker there grab my son’s face and yelled at him in his face. Nothing has been done.
DO NOT PUT YOUR CHILDREN HERE. I worked as a lead 3 year old teacher. And I continuously heard the older teacher 4+ year olds screaming at them. Then we ran out almond milk for a child and the front lady said we shall just give her regular UH WHAT. then I had a child who didn't like what we had and she told me not to feed him 🥺 so I started bringing in my own food. I also had a child bite me and break my glasses and nothing was done because her parent worked there for years. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS YOUR MONEY. THEY CONTINUE TO SCREAM AND ABUSE CHILDREN HERE. it needs to be shutdown. I was here 3 months until I couldn't handle it. The only reason I lasted so long is I loved the kids.
I brought my son's here age 2 and 3 over a year ago..I really liked that they had cameras and you could see what your children were doing while you were at work. Only problem is the cameras were always so blurry I couldnt even tell which son was mine in the video on my.phone. the one in her office were clear as day. Anyways I told them we were working on potty training the youngest and it never seemed like they tried to help on their end..he was always in a soaked diaper when I picked him up. Twice I had to ask them to change the diaper once I got there bc he was soaked and leaking.. once he had another child's diaper on. I told them he needs his own as he has sensitive skin and these are the best for his skin type. The last day my boys went there I had gotten off early and showed up unannounced to pick them up. My youngest was in the same diaper as when his dad had dropped him off..immedealty when I picked him up my clothes got wet and I let the teacher know. She told me she didn't have any of his diapers in the classroom she was in. I wondered why but didn't question it..I said ok well can he use someone's else diaper bc he is full..she said sure and handed me another child's diaper. I took him to the bathroom to change him and there was poop caked on his bottom. It has obviously been there for a long time.. my son got a rash. The director tried to tell me we owed her for the next week some type of deposit for pulling him out without warning. We told her we would not be paying her for next week as they treated my son horribly. I have all this documented and pictures of the rash..I was going to call the state on them but left it alone when she never made an effort to get that money that she thought she was owed. Besides that you could hear teachers yelling at kids when you were walking through the hall. Just sad. I'm so glad I found a decent place to take my children that doesn't only take care of them..but teaches them. This daycare had no curriculum. They just played all day long. The new daycare also encouraged my boy to Potty train and were very thorough which made life alot easier for me in the potty training journey.
