What Parents Say
Little Peoples Academy receives predominantly positive reviews praising caring staff, age-separated classrooms, and child development. However, two detailed negative reviews raise serious concerns about inadequate staffing ratios, unsafe supervision practices, unexplained injuries, and poor management response to safety issues and refund disputes.
Not a great place the teachers are left with too many kids completely alone and the owners grandson is the most terrible behaved child ive ever seen, he would be physical with the kids and teachers and never got separated from the other kids unless it was to go sit in the office and watch cartoons. They are not staffed properly nor are the following proper state protocols regarding how many children can be left alone one teacher. Be aware that child safety is not top priority!
Little People’s has an alarming lack of basic safety procedures. Facilities and outdoor gates were left unlocked, and my 3-year-old was once lost and unsupervised while in their care. During his time in their care, my child sustained multiple unexplained injuries, which staff could not adequately account for. Requests for details on his injuries were dismissed by management. They showed no accountability or remorse and blamed my 3 year old child for not reporting his injuries to staff. After repeated safety issues, we withdrew our child. Despite having prepaid days remaining, the daycare refused to issue a timely refund. Management stopped responding to emails entirely. I had to call over 10 times just to get basic information. They claimed they “mailed” a refund check—after I had already asked to pick it up in person—but it never arrived. When I finally picked it up myself, the amount was significantly short. They also deducted additional money for a “stop payment” fee on the check they supposedly mailed. This facility demonstrated dangerous supervision practices, poor communication, and highly unprofessional handling of refunds. I would strongly caution any parent considering enrolling their child here.
We absolutely love our baby room ladies!!! Ms Cheeman and Ms Misha are amazing with my 11 month old. My daughter absolutely loves them and I love to see the love between them Bc it makes me having to leave them for work a lot easier on my heart. So thank you for that. And my 3 year old has had Ms Ruby multiple times in his time here and she is definitely his favorite. He’s in a new room now so we are getting to know his new teacher but I love that he is so excited about the fun activities they do throughout the day. So I’m very happy mama!
My daughter has been going here since she was 8 months old and now she is nine!! We love this place and the staff. They are kind and caring and want the best for my daughter. I love how they have separate houses for different ages. Its fantastic they teach early learners, pre-k, and kindergarten.
****DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE IF THEY HAVE A MODERATE DEVELOPMENTAL DELAY OR DISABILITY*** This school was great at first I had lots of faith in them to be able to handle my son. (Even after hearing my boss had tried to take her daughter with autism to this school and was declined services due to her autism)This was his first academic setting ever and I wasn't sure how he would be since he had been home with me since birth. However I did let Suzanne know he couldn't talk or communicate much and she said it would be fine and they can take children like that....didn't ask me ANY further questions so I thought "great" and took him in. He never hit or pushed me when he couldn't tell me what he wanted. While being at school he started acting out physically since he couldn't communicate due to his speech delay. They had called me 5+ times to come and get him cuz they are unequipped and unable to handle these kinds of children. They don't advertise this and will keep you until they can't handle the child. Be aware. They need further training because a good teacher will handle the 'mole hills' but a GREAT teacher will try and take on mountains and do they're best for a child even if they aren't like the rest and have delays or disabilities.
