What Parents Say
Little People Learning Center in Lancaster receives mixed reviews with significant polarization. Positive reviewers praise staff dedication, patience, and educational enrichment, while negative reviewers raise serious concerns about supervision, staff qualifications, incident reporting, and accountability. Parents are strongly advised to conduct thorough research and verify licensing.
If you love your child, do your research before even thinking about Little People Childcare. My experience with Mrs. D and her staff was beyond disturbing. The level of disrespect, lack of accountability, and overall incompetence I encountered was shocking. Concerns were not handled professionally, and instead of transparency, I experienced what felt like deflection and attempts to minimize serious issues. There is currently legal action in process regarding what occurred. I cannot share every detail publicly right now but I can say this: as a parent, I walked away feeling sick to my stomach. This place operates in a way that, in my opinion, feels more money-driven than child-centered. The leadership lacks professionalism, and the environment did not feel safe or trustworthy. Parents check everything. Ask hard questions. Verify licensing yourself. Review all available footage. Trust your instincts. If something feels off, it probably is. Our babies cannot speak up for themselves. We have to. I would never send my child back. Not ever.
“I cannot express enough gratitude for the love, care, and dedication that Miss Maritza, Mrs. Dee, and the entire team have shown my son since he was an infant. Now, at five years old, he is thriving and was more than ready for kindergarten, thanks to their nurturing guidance. Miss Maritza’s incredible teaching has helped him learn his colors, letters, and even the days of the week in Spanish! It means the world to me to know he has been in such a warm, supportive, and enriching environment. Thank you for loving my baby as your own and for giving him such a strong foundation. Our family will always be grateful for you!” Love always Kaiden H and his Mother Ms.Kisha

I’m writing this review to warn other parents. On the surface, this childcare looks great when you first sign up. Everything seems organized, friendly, and reassuring. Unfortunately, once your child is actually enrolled, the cracks start to show. The biggest issue is lack of supervision. Children are allowed to fight or act aggressively, and incidents are either poorly handled or not communicated to parents at all. There have been multiple times where my child was harmed or involved in incidents that I was not informed about, which is completely unacceptable. As a parent, you should never have to find out after the fact or worse, from your own child that something serious happened. Another major concern is staffing. These are not licensed teachers. Many staff members appear to have only taken a few community college courses and are put in charge of children without proper training or qualifications. You never really know who is watching your child or how prepared they are to handle conflict, safety, or emergencies. What’s most troubling is that staff often don’t see a problem with these issues. There’s a lack of accountability and urgency when it comes to children’s safety and parent communication. Because of these ongoing safety concerns, I ultimately made the decision to remove my child from this childcare. No parent should feel uneasy about their child’s well-being while they’re supposed to be in a safe, supervised environment. If you’re considering this childcare, I strongly recommend asking very specific questions about staff qualifications, supervision policies, and how incidents are reported. What you see during the tour is not what you always get once you’re enrolled. Parents deserve transparency. Children deserve safety.
