The Byrd Nest Childcare

Honestly, I don’t know why the reviews are horrible. My kids and I love the staff and the owner! We’ve used this daycare since last August. I have no complaints. I would like to see more outdoor equipment, but they do have pretty limited space outside. I get art that my son has made almost every week. My daughter has done crafts there too. I hope everyone realizes that there isn’t going to be a perfect daycare where kids don’t get sick or make messes. No one is going to take care of your babies better than you, but I will say that I truly feel like these people are like my kids bonus parents! I don’t worry about them while they are there and they’re pretty quick to respond when I check in during the day.

My kids go there and have for about 2 years know my youngest is almost 7 months and they would always sand me up dates and pictures when I would ask for them on all my kids. They really do work with you. Lost of nice people

I’m not one to speak bad about places because I understand how hard it can be to run a business, let alone one that includes 40 plus children, but this place was absolutely horrible at best. As someone who has worked with children in child protective services and in schools, do not send your kids here. The caregivers are rude to the kids and do not engage with them- they act like they hate being at work. My daughter cried every morning on the way because she disliked being there so much. There were always kids crying at the front entrance about wanting to go home. The customer service was horrible, they are not up front about their policies at all like most places should be and then if you do something (like I didn’t pay the day that they wanted since they were never clear), they sent a rude text message to me threatening me saying my child could not come back. Then I had a week I didn’t need care and they wanted me to pay full price (175 for full time) to “hold her place.” So they wanted me to pay full price for a service I was not even receiving because my child had to be somewhere for a week. Talk about no flexibility what so ever. Just a huge no. I’ve let community partners near the area know as well because I felt like children should not be going to this provider. No flexibility for everyday people, horrible customer service, not clear about their policies, the place is dinky and kids are on top of eachother- and the most clear part of all- my kid hated going there everyday.

The staff was very nice, however the owner, whew! She is super amazing she will call your work to make sure you’re there and if she sees you at a store during work hours she will confront you about it. Talk about going above and beyond. I can only imagine how her employees are thoroughly stalked if they call off. If you want a good place to take care of your kids and your schedule, this place is for you!

I couldn't disagree more with previously stated reviews. I take both of my children to The Byrd Nest and they love it. I've never had anything but wonderful experiences with the staff and all of the children there are happy and well-behaved. I would recommend this place to any of my friends or family.
