What Parents Say
Little Minds at Work receives highly polarized reviews. Positive reviewers praise the staff's care, child development, and professionalism, while negative reviewers report concerning incidents involving child treatment, billing disputes, uncooperative management, and inconsistent quality of care.
They were good at first. They have had two dhs cases since we have sent our son there. This final one I refused to pay for a full week when they weren’t able to have Children at the place of business. I called the man over the daycare he said I’m required to pay it because I signed the contract I said okay and hung up the phone. He calls my better half and tells her pretty much the same thing the invoice needs to be paid within the next ten minutes or we need to come get our son. She also asked to get the contract emailed to her he refused to email it. She asked to see it when we came and got our soon and he didn’t even bother to show us. So I don’t recommend them and I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the first time it’s happened.
We had nothing but horror after horror here. There were always weird explanations, half-truth reports or flat out ignorance. Billing was never correct. I was singled out because instead of ignoring the warning signs, I called them on their inaccuracies. I witnessed them borderline rough with the children. I'll never know for sure what happened, as my child was not at a real verbal communication stage yet, but she cried all day long from the time I dropped her off, until she fell asleep or I picked her up. The owners began to complain that she was a "difficult child". I immediately gave my two week required notice, left and never sent her back to that place! I felt guilty because I truly cared about a few of the staff members that were really patient with my child, and I didn't want people to lose their jobs. After experiencing a completely different child in her everyday at her new school, I do not want other parents to risk their child's well-being at this place.
The staff was nice to me but looks can be deceiving. In the short time our child was there he went from being excited about going to pre-k/School to not wanting to go at all and his every day habits changed. And when asked by multiple family members what was wrong he replied with "The teacher was mean to me and squeezed my arm." After having a conversation with the staff about this once already. My wife and I decided to pull our child from this school. We do not recommend this Daycare/pre-k.
We love how much they love our children!! They feed the kids and help them learn so much. I truly feel like my children are being watched by family while knowing they are fully certified and licensed with peace of mind. As a parent they absolutely respect my wishes and requests for 2 very different kids that are at totally different stages, one an infant and another toddler pre-school age. Within just a month of going my older child has proven how much she has learned and the infant has flourished in her physical activity. There are not enough words to describe how wonderful they all truly are ❤
Our little was there from <1-3 and we never had any issues with staff or billing other than having to pivot during the couple times where they were required to close due to Covid exposure during the height of the pandemic. The lil one advanced nicely both cognitively and socially while in their care.
