Little Learners Childcare Center

I have never regretted our decision for our daughter to come here. the facilities are terrific and staff amazing! The teachers meet my toddler at the door with a big smile and hug each and every day. We are always informed about how the day went and if there are any concerns. Highly recommended!

Here's the deal. This place gets a bad rating based on its past. Currently, there is nothing wrong with this establishment. I've had my son there for over a year and in the beginning, admittedly there were problems. Currently, there are none. Yes, there are some reports, and yes some of the reports are based on questionable incidents but the vast majority of reports are about really silly and minuscule violations that if you read them, you'd agree are frivolous. My experience has been that they take just as good care of my son as I do. I have never once worried about his care at LL. When reading this, you'll note that the last two reviews are five-star reviews. There is a reason for that. Management and personnel have changed for the better. Before you base your judgment on an unrepresentative star rating here, check the place out. Speak to Jonni, LeeAnn, Ashley, or Jessica. They are all-star caregivers that have constant interaction with my son. I wouldn't even begin to hesitate to have any one of them care for him. Their passion for the children is apparent and I count myself blessed to have my son in their care as well as both him and I making some great friends.

Miss Jonni is amazing! I wish every teacher shared her innovative ideas and love of children! She should be the director of this center. With the exception of her, the teachers and directors definitely need mandatory training on conflict resolution, redirecting, concious discipline and engaging with children. For the sake of the children that are still attending, I hope that things change and they hire better teachers and are able to give them the opportunity to take online classes.

It’s so disappointing that the new owners bought an amazing daycare and turned it into something terrible. I’ve been interviewed for three of their six licensing violations and many of the same problems are featured everytime. A major issue is that they aren’t feeding the kids properly! The quality of food and care and compassion has just gone further and further down since they purchased MMU a little over a year ago. Most of the staff were fired within a few months, and many more have just quit. Only a few of the original staff still remain. I was the longest standing customer until they decided to terminate our family because we were only sending the kids one day a week; this being due to my works slow season, which happens to everyone in Northern Michigan; and would have lost money sending them more days as was demanded. This is after having sent them one day a week since December; I received one notice that they needed to go more often and I requested that they work with me on it. Instead they dropped our care. It also happened just after I was interviewed for tgeir newest investigation and my fiancée posted a bad review on their Facebook; the timing seems really fishy.

This place is SHADY!! They are under like seven investigations. My kids no longer go here and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone's kids. Very dishonest. Owners live hours away and obviously don't care about the families.
