Little Learners Child Development Center

My family continuously has a wonderful experience at this childcare center. This center was like none others that we tour while looking for a place to send our children. The center is setup like a school and completely child oriented. The women who run the school are true professionals with the credentials and experience to prove it. My two children get so much out of going to school here. They experience all the holidays, special days and events, and they are constantly coming home and telling me new things. The center is very safe and does have strict policies, but that’s how I know it’s the perfect place for my children. I know when dropping them off each day that they are safe and well taken care of. Some people might disagree but to them maybe they don’t expect the best for their children. My family will continue to love to attend and we will continue to recognize and recommend this center to others. I am very grateful for all that they have done for my family and for the education they provide to my children.

My time at Little Learners in Hackensack was very difficult. Management often spoke to staff in an unprofessional manner, rolled their eyes, and dismissed both religious and medical needs. Minors were scheduled to work, which made it nearly impossible to find proper coverage during school hours. I also witnessed staff yelling at children and speaking to them harshly, which was very concerning. Based on my experience, I would not recommend sending your child here. I truly hope leadership improves professionalism and, most importantly, ensures that children are treated with kindness and respect.

Little Learners is a great place for kids! My kids have been going there for years, They are a childcare center that takes very good care of the children, and the hallways are filled with the children's art work. When we signed up at the center we were concerned about the reviews that were written and we don't judge a book by its cover. We went talked with the director and came back with the kids to meet the teacher. We are so pleased with our children's growth and development. The communication with the teachers is incredible. I was nervous and worried about the baby but I would call or stop by and the teachers were always welcoming and inviting to me even when I interrupted their day!

I would advise prospective parents to NOT enroll your child here. While the facility may appear appealing at first, with a next leveling selling speech, my experience with the leadership team was disappointing. Communication often felt dismissive, and opportunities to provide feedback were not well received. As a parent, I found it difficult to ask questions or express concerns without encountering defensiveness or passive-aggressive responses. The onboarding process was disorganized, which made the transition challenging for both my child and me. Within two weeks, my child began to resist attending, which was deeply concerning. When I raised these concerns with the staff, I was met with an added generic paperwork response on how to properly drop off a child for acclimation before my planned meeting with the staff. This felt out of touch, especially given that my child has previously attended similar environments without any issues. In addition, I later discovered the center has had multiple state-recorded violations related to staff-to-child ratios. While every daycare has its challenges, professionalism, transparency, and open communication with families are non-negotiable in a caregiving environment. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

This is my daughter’s second year at the center and she absolutely loves it ! Little Learners is her first school experience and it made such a positive impact on her. They helped her with adjusting but also for me as well. She’s in the preschool 2 classroom and I have seen such a difference from September to now. The school helped me fully potty train her too so no more pampers woohoo! The ladies that work at the facility truly care for the children and you can see the dedication they have. The center is so beautiful on the outside and on the inside, the hallway is always filled with so much of all the children’s work. Everyday when dropping my daughter off she is so excited to go to school, but hates to go home.
