What Parents Say
Little Lambs Learning Academy receives highly polarized reviews, with strong praise from satisfied parents highlighting caring staff, Christian values, and child development, but serious concerns from others about safety issues, poor infant care practices, inadequate teacher-to-student ratios, and unprofessional management. Multiple parents report safety incidents, lack of parental communication, and additional hidden costs beyond tuition.
This daycare values money over the children’s safety. I expressed to them the lack of structure in my daughter’s classroom and the concern that the teacher was becoming frustrated and overwhelmed. Instead of taking what I said into consideration the owner Mrs. Joyce placed the blame on my daughter and accused her of hitting 4 other students while I was picking her up 3 months prior to this conversation. When asked for footage they were not able to produce it. I never was informed of this, had to sign incident reports nor was my child suspended for these “alleged actions”. The day after I brought concerns to the owner my daughters teacher was accused of hitting a student. I removed my child and they are reporting me to the debt collection agency for failure to provide a 2 week notice. I informed the owner Mrs. Joyce and the debt collection agency that my child was not there those 2 weeks and I was not paying due to my daughter being removed for safety concerns. I reported Little Lambs to CPS and submitted a copy of the report I filed to the debt collection agency. The owner Mrs. Joyce’s rebuttal was “This is not a safety issue, it is a payment issue”. Since my daughter was removed Little Lambs has been cited on 2 different safety related incidents by the Texas Department of Public safety.
I adore Little Lambs. My daughter has been going there since she was 2 years old and have had all good loving teachers. She has learned so much while being there and we have adopted them to our family. I especially love Tiffany the assistant director. She always keeps us updated on things changing in the facility and also loves my daughter like her own. I would recommend this daycare to anyone looking for a safe spiritual setting for their children.
Do not send your child here if you are looking for a place to help your child learn and grow. They present themselves as clean and organized. They are clean. But they lost my wife’s paperwork containing our bank routing number and didn’t seem to care. Their infant rooms do not focus on the importance of play. The babies are either in their chairs, bouncers or cribs. Once our son got to the toddler room there were two teachers for 13 kids. Biting was a problem in the room not only with my child but with many of the other children as well. Instead of being proactive and teaching the babies how to share and play nice, their solution was to suspend my 17 month old for two days. We asked on 3 separate occasions how we could help or if we could come to the school and watch during play time. Each time they ignored our willingness to help the situation. We asked the owner to see the video tapes of when the biting was occurring and she stated that she couldn’t meet with us for 2-3 weeks because she was busy doing stuff out of town. She also knew that our last day was the following week. If you are new to this area, keep looking. Find a daycare that really truly cares about the development of each child and focus on teaching the developmental skills.
My son went to Little Lambs Learning Academy. It appears beautiful but the administration of the center is poor. It is a family run business out to get as much money as possible with pretend teaching and curriculum. They pay their workers poorly and expect to have a high standard of learning. The student to teacher ratio is a lie. I have walked in on many occasions to see one teacher with 30+ kids, what a standard. The teachers bully children and shame them. My son was shamed for having an accident in front of me. I immediately requested a change of teacher because that wasn’t the only incident with this teacher. Ms. Joyce raved about the teacher in question because it was her family instead of trying to listen to the customer. The management staff are delusional and money hungry. Take your kids some where they will actually learn something and be taken care of above state standards, not below.
This daycare is very low quality when it comes to friendly faces. My nephew has been going here for a year and they have a good system of keeping the kids in but the attitudes of the workers are bad and not welcoming. The front office lady is very standoffish and her tone is not positive in the morning for her to be the first face everyone see’s. This daycare has a lot of positives but they may need new workers because the attitude is horrible.
