Taking my 4 year old out of Little Embers was the best decision I could have made for him. He watched entirely way too much TV at the daycare. When we dropped him off in the morning and picked him up in the afternoon, the kids were glued to the TV. He would also talk about watching Netflix throughout the day. The teachers kept saying they were going to begin the curriculum, but it was almost December and very little learning was taking place. I felt bad dropping my child off because the teachers were very cold and had a lot of attitude. We caught the teachers in several lies. One time they put my child in timeout for hitting the teacher. When my child said he never hit the teacher, we requested to see the video. It turned out he was telling the truth, and both teachers had lied about it. They supposedly fired the teacher, but they rehired her several weeks later. We were surprised to find out that there was a teacher with felony charges. The director hires a lot of friends and family, and many don't work as hard because of their relationship with the director. We have been very disappointed with how the place has gone downhill since we began taking our older son there ten years ago.
My experience with the day school started out positive. When my child moved to the next level of classroom the problems started. I made the staff aware and even spoke with the owner. It was handled poorly resulting in us moving our child.
Every time I go in that place, it looks like a zoo! It's play time all the time there and they don't do much learning ( the toddlers, at least). A lot of young girls who work there that just work for a paycheck, it seems. Not the best option, keep looking.
