My oldest daughter has been in little college since she was 3 years old. She is now 11 and in the 5th grade. I am sad to see her days at little college come to an end. From the beginning 8 years ago I liked this school. My daughter learned her ABC fully with in months of starting, count to 20 and even learned the continent. They talk to the kids in both English and Spanish all day, which is a good thing since Spanish is not spoken too much at home. I was told by some people that their child did not get a good education from this school. So I took my daughter to a learning center and she is above her grade level. So my experience my daughter is getting a great education. Anytime I needed to ask a teacher a question I gave my daughter a note to give her teacher and told the front office that my daughter had a note to give her teacher and in front of my the office would call the teacher to let her know. Then I picked up my daughter my note was given back to me with an answer. The staff treats all kids like family. They always great you when you come in and wishes you a great day as you leave. They have a outside dance teacher come 3 times a week for dance class. They offer ballet, hip hop, and belly dancing. Also they have a Karate teacher come once a week. Something extra you could put your kids in. My oldest did ballet for 4 years and hip hop for one. She did not want to dance anymore. They had at one point music class but that stopped a very long time ago. I do wish they still had that. Now my youngest is in kindergarten and has been there for 3 years now. Over the years I have seen teachers come and go. Program come and go. Put all in all I am happy with the education that my daughters are getting. Ok it cant be all good so here are some negative: They are on top of you for payment. (Most private schools are). They are not always private about you needing to pay. Sometimes they will ask you about the check in front of other parents. What seems like every month there is a party that they ask you to bring 2 items for. And sometimes your child don't eat the items you brought. They save for another day. The end of the year event graduation. It's really a dance recital. They ask you to pay for the costumes $60 per dance they are in. If in ballet, hip hop, belly dancing, and/or class dance. Then when it comes time to buy the tickets for the show you have to get them on line which is always a hot mess and it cost $75 for cap and gown, trophy then $10 per ticket. The school is all and all a great clean school with a good education.
This school is as bad as it is clean!!! Please don’t fall for it!! My 4 years old daughter is literally traumatized with her ballet teacher, I still have NOT been able to talk to this teacher to find out what is going on after a few attempts requesting a conversation. I did not want to push and be tough bc she was still there with very few options at the moment. She has been here for a year, people, I have not talked or gotteh info about how my daughter is doing in school yet, they literally hide from you!! I send little notes to the teacher in her homework to proof my self I am not being paranoid ( but they don’t even check her homework ) We had to leave one day my older daughter (5 yeas old) at Little College one day because it was teacher planning day in her school and we had to work, they charge I think $40 per day + $2 for lunch, I did not send the $2 for the lunch( my mistake ) and my daughter couldn’t eat lunch!!!!!!! I learned about it because she told me when we picked her up, she was soo hungry!!!! REALLYYY!!! And sooo many more details and things they lack.. They need to improve, Little College please you deal with kids!!!
What a great school, my oldest son goes to Little College since he was in PK2 . He was reading with 4 year old and now he is in 5th grade. We are so happy with the Curriculum, the Teachers, the Security, the supper clean and well organized school. We love the great end of the year graduation event. (go to YouTube under LittleCollege Graduation) it is an amazing experience. They have a list of Prices and you select what you need. But Make sure you pay on time, they are very well organized don't think you can play with them. we are so bless to be part of this great family.
My daughter started at the school when she was just three years old. Back then she didn't learn as fast as other kids in her grade level. The principle and teachers there have treated her like an angel and have helped her become even smarter than kids in her grade. The principle and teachers at the school are amazing.
Parents Beware! My kids have been going to this school with a full scholarship from Step Up, this coming year would be no exception, only that the school has informed me that I now have to pay a books and registration fee to hold their seat out of pocket or find another school. First come first serve. How can this even be a problem when they've had the money they are asking for guaranteed for months now?! It seems like they want to double charge for the same thing. *This is not the first issue I've had with them... take your kids elsewhere.
