What Parents Say
Little Blessings has highly polarized reviews. Positive reviewers praise the caring staff, bilingual education, and personalized attention to children. Negative reviewers report serious concerns including neglect, discrimination against special needs children, poor communication, and inadequate supervision.
I have significant concerns regarding the quality of care at this daycare, which I feel undermines its seemingly undeserved 5-star rating. It would be prudent for the State of New Mexico to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the facility to ensure the well-being of the children. Upon visiting, I observed that many children often look unkempt and appear to be lacking the attentive care one would expect in a nurturing environment. Furthermore, there is a noticeable lack of effective communication between the teachers, the director, and the parents, which creates a barrier to addressing concerns and fostering a collaborative atmosphere. More alarmingly, I have witnessed instances of discrimination among the children and their caregivers. It seems that if a child is not favored, they may be isolated in a high chair, removed from their peers, which can be detrimental to their emotional health. Additionally, there are teachers who do not speak English, which further alienates some children and suggests a preference for their own children over others. This practice can foster an environment of exclusion rather than inclusion. Moreover, I have noticed teachers consuming outside food in plain sight of the children, displaying a troubling disregard for the importance of modeling healthy eating habits and the need for a shared mealtime experience. These concerning behaviors from caregivers — isolating children, restricting communication with parents, and exhibiting overly controlling tendencies — raise significant red flags about the overall environment and the quality of care provided to the children at this facility.
I have five children and all went to different daycares. This learning center is exactly that. My daughter absolutely loves this place as well as myself. They learn so much and are so good to the kids. They all know my daughter by name and treat her amazing. They treat myself and my older kids who go with me amazing. From the lunch lady Maria, to her first teacher Gisela. Her 1 year old teachers Stephanie and Laura, to her 2’s classes with Mitzi! She fell in love with Nina and Michelle. She became attached to Laura and we new this was her spot. I love this daycare/learning center. I would recommend to anyone who wants to know their kids are safe, treated fairly, educated in English and Spanish, and loved!! You rock Little Blessings Learning Center!! You Rock!!
I was unsure of enrolling my son (3) to this daycare or any other daycare, because i have always been cautious and skeptical on daycares. YMCA has been on the top of my list since my daughter went there but its super expensive, so i was very skeptical on this daycare since it was at a great price and not too expensive but to me it doesnt matter how much you pay it all depends on the behaviour of the teacher and my son loves this daycare. I have recommended it to many of my co worker and friends. And still will recommend it. Thanks to Janet the director and of course a few of the teachers who have taken care of son, who have been amazing, generous and very welcoming every time we enter the building.
Cant tell you much about the staff because I didn't interact much with them. When I picked my daughter up on her first day she was crying and the girl said she had been crying all day with no explanation to "why". My daughter is a very intuitive 2 year old and very social loved people and for her to not want to go back says a lot to me. She could only verbalize "mean and girls and eggo" I wish the staff would be able to verbalize what caused her to not like this place as I had high hopes for this place. My daughter has been wanting to go to "school" and previous day care she loved and had to take her out for other issues. So disappointed.
When you register your child for little blessings they advertise that they accept all special needs children so I signed up my autistic son and he went for two years and every week they would call my mom to go pick him up after so long the very rude front lady staff (all besides Janet & Mrs Cecilia ) said they didn't want the responsibility of taking care of a special needs child but yet they advertise it, so my son was no longer allowed to attend also this particular lady Rochelle fabricated stories about multiple reports of my sons "misbehavior" to her boss Robert but when I asked for a copies they were nowhere to be found! And still to this day when I ask for the reports so I can have documentation... they can't find them... needless to say this "daycare" is very big on discrimination against children who require any more work for the teachers other than the stationary position of sitting down and watching children play! Very disappointed especially since I sat down with Robert before enrolling my son and explained his "special" needs and he reassured they would be more than qualified to take care of my son
