What Parents Say
West Katy Preschool receives overwhelmingly positive feedback, with parents praising recent management changes that have improved the facility, curriculum, and staff. The one negative review describes serious safety and behavioral management concerns from an earlier period. Current parents highlight the clean environment, caring staff, Frog Street Curriculum alignment with Katy ISD, and their children's enthusiasm for attending.
My son attends West Katy Preschool and I am very happy with his school. He is learning a lot. It was announced this week that the center just got the Frog Street Curriculum which is very exciting because I believe that is the same curriculum that Katy ISD uses! I am very confident that my son will be ready for Kindergarten when the time comes. The teachers all seem very nice and nurturing. There is new management and they have completely turned the place around in such a short period of time! New Paint, toys, manipulatives, staff, curriculum, the list goes on!!! I definitely recommend this Preschool π
We decided to enroll our son in September and I was very nervous about his first experiences with daycare. I must say, West Katy Preschool has gone above and beyond expectations I had. Everyone is so kind and helpful and always go the extra mile. The facility is colorful, bright and very clean. Everyone greets you with a smile and knows you by name. We could not be happier with our choice. I highly recommend WKP!
I never write Review but while looking up the address to give to a family friend to look into for there children I thought I should put in input in. My children have been at West Katy for a While now. Over The Last few month a new Group of Management has stepped in and changed the school 100 percent in the right way.. My children are very involved and come home With something new to talk about that they learned. My wife and I had talked a few time about pulling our children out of the school. But since the new changes that the owners have made with the school we know are children are in the right place. The school is clean and just has been repainted.
Amazing school and staff. Staff goes above and beyond to meet your kid needs. Very loving staff, my son couldn't have adjusted in any other school. He looks forward to going school every day. All teachers, owner and director are very helpful and caring.
Wish I could give negative stars. STAY AWAY!! I waited to write this review because I needed to be sure that the school was going to cover medical expenses as they said (they did not) and I also wanted to be sure that my son was back on track. It took him a little over a year to return to himself. When he started he had zero history of any bad behavior at school. The second day of class I witnessed him get smacked by another student in front of me. Every other day there was an incident report with other students hitting him and about two weeks in we got the first of him doing the hitting. about a month in a male "teacher" yanked my son by the arm and gave him nurse's maid elbow. We found out after the fact that there was no structure at the school, my son would be allowed to do whatever he wanted all day and the lead "teacher" (we saw the video)who was easily flustered would only focus on a handful of students who were advanced and the rest of the class would just be running around and basically fending for themselves as the assistant just stood there watching. My son had behavior issues and nightmares for months and only in the last few months has he finally returned to himself. He does great now at his new school and the whole class loves him. You get what you pay for, we pay a lot more now but we at least know our son is being cared for. He is now the youngest in the class and consistently finishes his work first, with the horrible experience at west katy my mother in law spent a good three months teaching him what he should have been learning at school to catch him up. This place is horrible, the director's grandson was in my son's class and he was a horrible influence. Glad to have this chapter closed but others need to know how bad this place is.
